You need to wire them in parallel after the transistor with the main LED.

i would not use the 3 led- for aacents as they are pretty under powered instead wire the accent led in parallel with the main led with appropriate resistors

AK-47s and Lightsabers, both so fun to build

still think wiring is wrong somewhere .....have accent resistored on neg wire

here is diagram of what i have going on

if you bring the "-" from your accent LED over to your other grounds, you look fine to me.

my wiring terminology is real bad not sure i understand the wiring in parellel .....can you post a diagram or expalin it better so i can understand it thanx

Take the Main LED + and run 3 wires from it. Then take the LED - and do the same.

Wire and resistor each LED accordingly.

Slightly off topic, but I was wondering whether the transistors used for the economy boards are specific only to a certain amperage/voltage/something else put out by the economy board?

I am wondering because I was thinking that a 616 could be used to power a higher powered LED like a P4 or a rebel using a transistor?
It only gives out 350ma stock.

    Thanks

I think the TIP42G transistor allows 500mA of current out in one direction, but is unrestricted the other way (possibly like a diode), which may be the reason it is used backwards (LED hooked to the collector instead of emitter).

There are transistors with higher statistics, but I am willing to bet that the TIP42G can allow enough current through for a P4 as well. I have mine working with a blue rebel @ 1000mA.

I can't remember if it was the transistor or the regulator that gets really hot, though.

If I misinterpretted your question, then pay me no mind ^.^
