Thread: Will this fit in a 5" extension?

  1. #1

Default Will this fit in a 5" extension?

Just want to make sure these will fit before ordering. Will a 4AA holder fit in a 5" extension with a speaker holder? In the shop, it says the 4AA holder will fit in a standard main body, but I can't tell if this will fit with the speaker holder, taking the threaded sections into account.

    Thanks in advance.

It will fit fine in a 5" extension. You could use a 4" as well and be fine.

Why would that save more room? I figured that since aaa's are the same length as aa's a speaker sound combo would be roughly the same length???

Um, AAAs are about 1/4" shorter than AAs.

I don't know why you think they are the same length.

Also, the quad pack AA holder will NOT fit in MHS with batteries in it. Only the longer 2x2 set up will fit. And that one, wont fit in a 4" and might not even fit into a 5". This may be a better job for AAA's.

Yeah, I don't know what's up with LM's post. He must have misread something.

    invisias, J LO.

guys. gosh think about it for cryin at loud! the 4AA are two battery lengths long. so its a long battery pack. the 4AAA are only 1 battery size long. i think common sense would come into to play here.

Why are you bringing my name up for eye rolling, DJ? I didn't say you were wrong.

I know the 4AA pack that will fit into MHS parts might be too long for a 5" section.

I was pointing out that Invisas was wrong by him saying that the AAA batteries were the same length as the AA, and that LM was wrong about the 4 AA holder fitting into a 4" section.

I know that the 4AAA pack will fit with a speaker holder.

Some people like to use AAs for longer run times.

The 4AA pack will fit into the 5" section unless he means that he doesn't want it to go past the threading, in which case, it will not.
