Default New style hasbro saber!!! Please help!

I found a NEW style of Hasbro lightsabers today at Toys 'R' Us. They are much closer to the size of a real saber than the previous ones and they have better quality sound FX(sounds like MR). I realy want to use this board in my first LED lightsaber, but it is different from any I have seen in the tutorials for Hasbro sound. I have many questions and need lots of help as this will be my first attemp at wiring anything. Here are some pics of the new board from the new sabers. Please let me know what you think.

    Interesting board.
Momentary switch like all the others that Hasbro uses.
seems to have separate motion and clash sensors.
not quite sure what to make of the LEDs soldered to the board itself though I would guess that those are the LEDs that light up the blade. Getting rid of those and sticking in a Luxeon or P4 might be a little difficult.

Do you happen to have a picture of the box this saber came in?
Also any other details? Flash on Clash? Flash on powerup?
I'm assuming this uses the standard 3AA batteries?

Here are some pics of the box. It has all the usual sound fx and it flashes on the clash and power up and down. I'm pretty sure I just ruined the board, trying to remove the LED's. It's a real bummer. The sound quality with these new sabers is really great. Please let me know if you or anyone finds one of these sabers and figures out a good way to remove the LED's from the board and hook up a P4. Thanks.

How did you ruin the board? Did you damage the pads trying to desolder the LEDs or what?

It was glued in and soldered. The pads came off and the top of the slot the LEDs were in broke when I pulled it out.

This is interesting news. I must buy one of these new toy sabers.

Yes, they do fit in a MHS hilt. The MHS hilt is 1.25" ID except for the chokes and ribbed extentions, they have a smaller ID.

The "load" is whatever you are turning on with the relay. In this case, the big LED.

And, "wires" may have been a poor choice of words on my part... I meant the leads coming out of the relay on each end... to which you will be connecting the wires. One end to the LED and probably the other to the + on the battery, with a resistor thrown in there somewhere.

    Default Smashing Head On Desk....

So....red wire (+) from battery pack to one of the switch leads. The other switch lead on opposite side of relay goes to red (+) wire off the LED.

Black (-) wire off battery pack directly to LED.

Where would resistor go? + or - on LED side or does it not matter?

What attaches to the coils on the relay?

AND.....if one were attempting to keep the little lights from the cheapo board in place to use for accents or crystal chamber....?
