    xwing, SCHWWEEEEETT! I do like that design you have there neat switch between the emitter and grip, gives it that years of service look.

    Ambo, did you use the dremel or polish by hand? I forgot how cool the twins were.

    so an mhs saber would come out almost chromey if you use 2000 grit sand paper and mothers aluminum polish?mothers rocks,well its good enough for famous custom car builder chip foose its gotta be good for sabers.

    lol, that sound like a commercial for Foose and Mother's polish.

    James, That is actually the blade screw. No light up on that one. It's my beating stick (stunt saber).[] No frills it's just got for twirlin' and whackin' like there's no tomorrow.

    Yeah, now that it's a question it makes sense.

    I took about 5 minutes each on each grit (for pommel and emitter seperate). I went 800 to 1000 to 1500 to 2000 then polished. As tetmatek said (I believe it was him[?]) it depends on the quality of the machining and if you scratched it up yet. The lower grits help remove the smaller imperfections so that polishing doesn't take a lifetime.

    Forgive me, I find it ironic[] The Japanese swordmasters use similar techniques to polish the blades on their swords but don't polish the Tang / hilt area. We polish the hilt, but not the blade...I wonder why....?[]
