I have to disgree with this...
I made a thinkwalled blade for my first lightsaber and hated it.
-it was VERY top heavy (almost a clublike feeling)
- and it dimmed the LED considerably
while thickwalls are 'nigh unbreakable unless you plan on doing some seriously insane dueling I don't reccomend them.

I use bubble gum and peanut butter to hold my blade in the blade thingy.
Just giving you more options.

I duel with a thick walled blade with no problems.
Maybe I'm just stronger than you are.

Not from the saber that I currently have a blade in and duel with. It's not set up as a belt hanger.
It fits into a nice, personalized fabric fishing rod holder with my Kendo shinai.
