Makototsai Style LED String Question & Problem?

Here's another question:

I read the tutorial which teaches how to make the blades, and it says that use as large viewing angle as you can (the way I understand it)

So, would this LED do, though it's 20? Or Would 30?

Sorry this is the way you have to go:

Main Nadenex site:
Click on "LED Tuotteet"
Then, Click on "LED 5 mm"
Next, click "Punaiset Ledit" <- Red LED's in finnish

Then there's a list. Would any of those LED's do?

I think Mako's LEDs are 45 degree. That is why the ones he uses works so well, because of the viewing angle. http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Ma...s-V3-P494.aspx The V3s are the best but they cost the most too. The V1s are good and they are almost half of what the V3s do.

Yes, but the TCSS stock has only 31. I need 70. 52 for the blade, rest 18 for just-in-case-something-bad-happens

There are plenty of the V2s in stock, they come in red and yellow and the blue V3 has enough in stock too. You can do like the rest of us, wait until he gets them back in stock. LOL You will not get good results with anything less than 45 degree viewing angle. I know of another site that has them but they are more expensive. PM me if you want the link.

Yup. Go with what's in the store - they're stocked here for a reason...

If they're not in the quantity that you're looking for - wait until they are.

I don't recommend cross-mixing (i.e. V2s w/ V3s). They're different, which means half of your blade will be brighter... or dimmer, depending on your zen.

And 52? That's going to be a short blade.... but if that's your intention, then nevermind.
