That's what I heard too... but unless he bought them from Hyper, how is that infringement? One common part is not copyright infringement. I could look at the parts of an MR and buy the same microcontroller but different everything else and it doesn't make me copying them...[?]

My sympathies are with Erv. He'd make a lot of money if he could sell those here. Heck, Hyper would get a lot more money with a customizable in-hilt solution.

Erv is just like us, a guy just trying to make it and doesn't have the resources to fight it out with hyper, it is a shame because his system blows all others away. I think Erv's system is different enough from hyper's that the so called infringement is a load of snitz.

Amen! I will not say more because hyper will threaten to sue me... again. His lawyer fees should go to making his stuff cheaper, lol.

I'm not really sure I like Hyperdyne's business practices. He's too bloody pricey for the common hobby saberist, too aggressive in defending his "territory," and from his posts that I've read, is a bit of a blowhard to boot. I think he may well be using general ignorance of US patent law against Erv to cut out any competition, which is just shady. About the only thing I'm thinking about going to him for now is his real-time voice changer system. I'd buy from Erv, he's been nothing but helpful and informative. Hell, at this point I'd probably buy from him just to spite Hyperdyne. Need to go read up on what everyone's talking about with Hyper and Tim...
