I would think that online calculator is being a bit over cautious
Watts=Volts x Amps
You've got 5.3 volts across the resistor at 30ma
So that's 5.3x.03 = .159W so thats a fair bit under .25W
It does sound most like a loose connection somewhere, maybe a wire has come undone inside some heatshrink or maybe there is corrosion on the contacts of the battery pack.It could also be that a wire...
Merry Christmas everyone. :)
I haven't used that actual switch so can't comment on how much travel the plunger should have but I can say that a momentary switch only works whilst the button is held down.
For
Push once... =...
Good to hear you got it working.
If it all works as it should when the pommel is not attached to the hilt then something must be touching to make an unwanted connection when it's all screwed together.
It could be one of the pins...
My CF 3.0 board came with a note from Erv stating the following:
Despite my extra care,a labelling mistake ended on the silk screen of this crystal focus board. The "low battery" soldering pad and...
This is made from 220gsm A4 card using the free download parts available here.

Another option is to use a standard switch and make your own cap for it so as to have a custom external appearance as I did with my saber.

I've done it the other way round and put a length of pvc insulating tape on the inside of the hilt on both sides as the way the board is mounted it can't rotate in there.
The only parts in the circuit that need the correct polarity are the leds. The switches can go on either side as can the resistors. If you wire an led the wrong way round,it won't light.
Your K2...
It's possible to wire the accent led in parallel with the main one.It just needs a separate resistor to do so.
In the following circuit closing the top switch will turn on the main led and closing...
Good to know you got it working. :D
Sounds like you've got a short somewhere.Could be where you've soldered the wires to the led and one or both are just touching the heatsink.
Alternatively check that none of your connections are...
If you are just using tape to hold the cells in place there must be a slight gap somewhere so there won't be a complete circuit.Even if it did work the slightest jolt or movement would probably break...
For a saber using a Lux III then you will need a Luxeon driver such as http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/Luxeon-3w-driver-V2-P230.aspx or a Crystal Focus board (this will give you sound as well) to...
Radeon cards are ATI so follow the link I posted for their drivers.
As it says Microsoft Corporation I would guess you only have the standard Windows version of the driver installed which will...
Good tip,but it doesn't always detect the latest drivers so it's usually better to go to the card or chipset makers website to be certain.
Obi-Dar Ke-Gnomie,what brand is your pc and how old is it?
Varies a bit depending on which version of Windows you've got so probably the easiest way is to run dxdiag from the Run box on the start menu in 98/me/xp or type dxdiag into the search box at the...
Might just need to update your video card driver.Which card have have you got?

I had this happen on some of my sections too.I fixed it by squirting some WD40 on the joint and after waiting a few minutes to let it soak in, I tried giving a firm twist to the sections and they...
I would guess they are using it as an analogy for something that is quintessentially English in appearance.Oak beams, stone floor, thatched roof etc.
Sink tube adapter is threaded at one end to let you connect MHS sections to a sink tube as the metal sink tube internal diameter is about the same size as the outer diameter of an MHS section.
Nope, no sink tube, just the MHS parts listed.
