Great job, and as starting one of these myself, the pics are encouraging.
Question- though I may have missed it. What do you use for your inner body suit? Having trouble finding materials for that.

In the word of Master Erv "It depends™" ;)
Brightness is perceived by us simply through the wavelengths given off by the LED. White is a combination of all wavelengths, therefore- all current,...
I'm planning on building a costume like this, so am watching very closely. :) Thanks for sharing your progress!
Hey Saberfans!
Up for your viewing pleasure today is a custom saber based off a past build- Azaz?el. The Client approached me asking for a simpler, yet solid looking hilt for his costume. He...
Black Chrome... The best way to describe it is it "tints" the hilt, rather than actually color it. It isn't a bold or very dark color, but more of a subtle trans-color which will change the look of...
I used this TCSS Sleeve material here:

Looks pretty good, definitely see the VV influence. :)
I think the rounded portions of the shrouds could use more work though. Some files and sandpaper could fix that in an hour or so.

If you go with tape, get 3M brand. It is great and worth the extra dollar or so compared to "bargain" tapes. ;)
Thanks fellas.

Hey Saberfans,
I’m very excited to show you a brand new custom off the Calvary Custom Sabers’ bench. This saber is MHS based and was commissioned by Johannes H. Of the...
I believe I will sign in with a fresh UBERMANLY .
Prolly the only time this year I'll be tied with Mr. LDM... :p
This will revolutionize the double-bladed saber world. 0_0
Amazing. Simply. Amazing.
Powdercoating (PC) is incredibly durable when applied correctly. Without proper removing solvents, it is almost impossible to remove. Sanding it off takes forever... I should know. ;) The only time...
I don't think you can add two colors of PC on a single part in the MHS builder. I have not been able to anyway.
I made a 4 part tutorial for editing saber hilts made in the MHS builder...

The buzzing sounds like a speaker problem. I have had that happen a few times with the Regal/Premium speakers. Haven't had an issue with the 2W yet...
Anyway. I suggest gutting the saber, buy a...
Not a philanthropy thing really I don't think, but I was getting starbucks the other day, and a guy started a "Pay it forward" deal in the drive through. You know, where you pay for the person's...
Always wanted to be a manly man. :p
Looking back, I scored two more this year than last. 2013 should be even bigger. (That's the way it is supposed to work folks.)
Finished up the year with 14 Manlys. 8)
Your searching is correct, the Mace windu kit fits near perfect, and little bit of an aluminum tape shim will make it snug. I use those all the time without issue.
I had a saber like that. A huge money pit where things kept going wrong. It happens to all of us at one point in time. Take a break, get some new parts and tools, and begin again.
As far as the...
Can you get cheaper sabers? Yes, but they will be a mass produced item like everything else. Expensive is relative to other hobbies really. I'm restoring a car, and can tell you I've spent more on...
Hey Saberfans!
Serus Nox was commissioned by blackluc of the Fxsabers forums. He had a very specific design in mind, and after solidifying the render and a price, I went to work. This saber is yet...
I spent about 20 min making my decision. Lots of variables to consider, and all very strong sabers. Well done to those who entered! Most impressive builds. :)
Magnets and electricity don't mix. Magnets large enough to maintain a solid connection, would mess with the battery's flow of energy... making a possible battery failure or explosion.
For me, that is to short. I like the long sections and don't often use less than 8.5"
