Perhaps try combinations of words from here?

Thankyou both for the replies. I'm rather shamed in saying this, but I simply mixed my wire colours up. I spliced a red wire onto an orange and vice versa, leading to the odd behaviour. I blame bad...
Yesterday I tested all my wiring outside of the hilt, and had complete success in turning the saber on (foc, led, sound worked, etc).
I reassembled it in the hilt today, only to find that it wont...
Thankyou bigkevin61 and jbkuma, this is a relief :)
PCModulus, yeah I noticed I had it flipped in the photo after I posted it, whoops.
Apologies for the bother, but I'm having major difficulties identifying this resistor. I believe it is a 1.2ohm 3watt resistor, but I can't confirm this through any resistor chart websites I've come...
Whoa whoa whoa, your FIRST build? Holy moly that is pretty.
Now THAT'S a crossguard. That whole piece is amazing.
I love that this masterpiece keeps popping back up in the Gallery :)

Thankyou for the reply. Awe-inspiring saber by the way.
Concerning the tsuba, did you need to use an internal washer of some sort to hold the led module in place?
Thankyou all for your responses. Should've specified that I'd go for the metal, no way am I using plastic on this build. Still researching other avenues like Greenie's, but it's all kinda moot til I...
A store on Shapeways sells mhs compatible tsuba pieces, in either plastic or metal. These are apparently meant to sandwich between two mhs pieces. Anyone had any experience with these?
