lovely, i guess they didn't go with the one from the original artwork.....
that's a helluva job Gundam!
If you think you're the worst solderer here, I'll gladly PM you some of my wiring pics, lol.
Hey DC, I know what you're saying, but trust me, the MHS saves you a TON (not sure what that is in metric) of headache, cash and time spent for the bare minimum of functionally usable parts. In this...
hehe, sweet, i haven't seen any gundams since gundam wing was on CN years ago. Always wondered how it ended. Last one I saw was where Hiro was about to fight the Epyon. Good toons man......
...
go to target or wal-mart and get a cheap dremel knock-off for around 30 bucks. it's not the real thing but it'll get the job done.
looks very cool, question? is the crystal gonna be illuminated purply?(i know it's know a word, sue me)?
very elegant looking! i like!
me likey!
if you want a worn paint look, try spraying with krylon satin-finish. let it dry for about an hour, wrap in electrical tape, then unwrap. the tape'll take out chunks of the paint and...
if by pommel, you mean the arse-end of a sinktube, then yes, of course :)
And as to the other bit, I suppose great minds think alike. What were you gonna do with yours?
mmmkay, after much deliberation, i think i've got a workable design for what will be my next job. It's pretty much a Luke ROTJ with a different bladeholder style.
This one will me a little more...
welcome aboard!
nope, i ended up putting a Red LuxIII in the original. it's really bright too, but not quite up to the cyan.
I'm pretty pleased with my "rookie sabers", but they feel kinda unfinished tho. like...
thanks :)
it is uber-bright! That's the Cyan you sent me eastern. the thing's ridiculous! and those are semi-old batteries.
i know it might sound a little odd, but i'd try it in PVC 1st. just a hilt to get you used to what you're getting into. it's a great design idea. Just looks very advanced from what I can see of it....
update****
OK, nearly done!
Guts are all in, all that's left is some polishing and the rest go in the gallery.
Here she is next to the 1st one and I finally was able to get some shots of it...
update***
here it is minus the final drilling, paint and a few cosmetics. the brass really does fade fast but it's getting another heaping helping of sanding then some Brasso.
The Cyan's all...
Gibson FTW!
I KEED....I KEED!!!!
lol, welcome aboard fender:D
Done :)
The camera wasn't too cooperative, but i hope these are good enough.
Here she is!
I'll put more when I get the 2nd up and running.... thanks!

well, my order got here from Tim today, but yours truly, Darth Dip$h17, forgot to order another heatsink and nylon screws :/
The Red LuxIII's are BRIGHT!!!!!

what I personally would love to see would be my name and address on a shipping label for one or 10 of them :)
ok, back to the constructive posts.....
thanks guys, already ran into problem 1 for this one. the darn sinktube caps aren't brass!:mad::(
OK, since I was so indecisive on chrome vs brass for the last saber, I'm remaking it as a Light Side saber.
The original's still waiting on some guts from Tim, but v2 is already done being cut for...
thanks alot guys!
the saga continues in my next thread.......:p
just an update on the brass version so far. expecting the parts to get here from Tim tomorrow or wednesday'ish. Should have a matched set after i get back from PA this weekend.
