What did you use to bend the orange?
I would appreciate it if you could edit the chart on the first page with LedEngin data, like you offered. Especially any data that's highest in it's category. It looks like there are winners in red,...
Hey can whoever started the thread update the chart with the LedEngin info. That would be really great. Thanks all.
Thanks for the response Matt.
So I hadn't thought about it before, but as I was looking to order parts, I found a question.
What settings did you get for your Corbin Driver? 1000ma latching?
...
The $50 LED driver in the store lists effects; ramp up/down, static shimmer, flash-on-clash, and lockup.
The $35 driver doesn't list any. What if any effects does it have??
p.s. Do the...
So I realize this is a dangerous question but, Matt do you turn your saber off before switching colors? Normally one inserts a kill key, but with a latching switch you could just turn it off(yes?)....
I've seen something like that before but didn't think he had bridged the resistors.
Makototsai or anyone with experience: in daylight is SSS bright enough to still look like a movie saver or do...
Learned a lot since last post thanks all.
But yeah, what did you wrap the ladder with, Makototsai?
Maybe sometime you could try your v3 led strip on a mrfx board, but start taking resistors off the board. I'll bet the brightness could be comparable to a v3 Makototsai saber.

Makototsai?
Didn't Obi-Dar do a MR Maul conversion RGBA w/ petit croutons. The ones for Darth Kevin of FX-Sabers. They could color change without turning off, or inserting a kill key.
Could you give us a...
Those who know, please share. Those who don't leave intelligent questions.
Starters
1: A 16 position rotary switch coupled with a RGBA LED doesn't actually mix colors it cycles through different...
Hey can you use "flashing LED's 5mm) the seem to be easier to find and cheaper. Will they work alright for solid on?
Maarrvelous, a quick look and I'm starting to understand. But I've got a lot of reading to do. Thanks a bunch, you're the man!
I thought so from what I've read but specifics or how-to's would be awesome.
Amazing blades, great work. I read you use HB RGB LED's (3mm?), could you pretty please post a link to where you found them. Maybe a link to whatever you use for driving the LED's and controlling the...
How about transistors and reed relays, and what they're used for; switches, amping or de-amping
Wow!
Uh sorry, that's completely awesome. Anyway my question how many LED's do you use per string and how long are those blades.
Amazing sabers, was that blue hasbro even on?!
Are these Makototsai style sabers strong enough for dueling or are they just super bright show blades?
What's better Crystal Sound or Petit Crouton? And is CS just a soundboard no driver?
Not so helpful anyone feeling nice enough to give a better answer?
So what exactly did the 5V Reed Relay do? I understand basics but didn't catch why that was in the first diagram.
How does RGB compare to RGBW & RGBA in color possibilities? RGB should technically...
So the adjustable driver $35, and constant current driver $50 in the store are the LED V2 drivers you speak of, correct?
The PC-L that is what exactly, I'm a little new with the jargon. Is PC-L...
Thankyou! that was just what I needed to know about drivers.
I do understand and own a white lightsaber with color discs (saberforge), but I'm not impressed. Thanks a lot for the ideas, but I...
Hi all. So I've read a bunch and heard of resistors, buckpucks and drivers. An LED driver is obviously the best way to go, but the store doesn't say much. Do all LED drivers have power up/down,...
