I've never used rice, so I can't comment on that. Everything else looks good.

Use the v5 speaker mount. It has a lip that will lock it in place. Or use a longer pommel.

Disk 5 and the v4 speaker mount are mostly used for a reveal chassis.

The blue wire that connects the CF to the CeX is on the wrong pad on the CF. It should be on the pad to the left of where you have it now (the pad located by the top left corner of th R150 thing).

I got these snap ring pliers off of Amazon. They work pretty good on the shorter pommels. They work for the longer pommels too, but need a bit of jiggling.

A 3.7 volt lithium ion battery would be the best choice, but if you really want to use alkaline batteries, use 2 AA batteries instead of 4 AAA batteries. You'll get longer run time.

You would need a resistor.

You could get one of the male/female JST connectors in the store, like this one. Cut one of the wires (not both), and add the resistor.

You could try removing the recharge port and plugging the battery into the board directly.
That's probably not it though, since you are getting power to the board.

When you removed the speaker, everything else started working correctly? The switch turns the LED on and off?
