Shiny! (In the Firefly kinda way )
Great! Thanks Silver.
I was wondering if trim rings are available in bare metal, and if so, when they will be restocked.
A board like this will work great for soldering practice, havoc. On radio Shack's website it is part Model:276-150 | Catalog #: 276-150 and runs a little over two bucks.
The name "Vector" comes to mind.
This saber is great, Maul -- both in concept and execution. Just the fact that it sprouts so many ideas about what to do with it is a boon.
The only thing I'd change is calling it waterproof....
Now, y'see? New design twists are always cool. What a nice looking hilt, Do-Clo! *thumbs up*
At least, not yet ...
Wow! I missed a lot! Thanks cardcollector. And thanks for the welcome, Fender!
Why is Ultrasound discontinuing the sound card creation?
I gather the lack of Lux is due to Rebel LEDs?
How long...
Ok, so life kicked me in the dupa for a few months, and just when I was getting into the swing of building my sabers, too. Now, I'm back after getting things sorted, and am setting myself to re-read...

Go Erv!!!

Taking a guess, it looks like perforated tubing normally used as exhaust heat shielding, like on motorcycles. Obviously a smaller diameter -- I have some that is stainless steel.
My suggestion is to use acetone to dissolve the JB Weld; clean the parts; cut/file/sand the parts so they fit properly; re-join the parts.
That probably sounds like a lot of work, and it might be,...
That's a whopper of a hilt, DJ. I'm very interested to see what it will look like with the shroud and overlays. I like also that you're using PTFE (Teflon). It insulates and is easy to slide in and...
Bah ha ha hah!!!!!!!!!!!:lol::lol: R2...Am not...R2...AM NOT!!!! Priceless!
A young padawan, known for his inaccuracies and desire for attention, approached Master Yoda about his lightsaber.
Padawan: "Master! i've finshed the dessign of my light saber! It has a signel...
I find your apparent lack of saber disturbing...
I always wanted to learn to play the bass. I had a Fender fretless a friend let me borrow, but when he moved, it went with him. :(
Eyeballing the image, that looks like 24ga copper wire, fellows.
