As an alternative to soldering wires together, couldn't you just twist them together and attach a wire connector? I built my LED saber like that. Just an idea for those with little soldering...

I am talking about damaged fx's where only the sound will work. If your converting you don't need a working blade.

I just wanted to know how many times people thread their el wire through the blades. Im thinking about making one but no clue how many times I should thread it.
If your just going to convert it to a lux, just buy a 20 dollar one on ebay. the sound has to work, but the blade doesnt.
I know this sounds stupid, but what tap sizes will I need for the LED blade holders when they are back in stock?
