Thanks Loreen.
The led I'm using is rated at 1500ma. I figured 1 700 puck is too little. Two 1000s or a 700 and 1000 are too much. So two 700s are good enough. Wiring to a Sabersound board.
I got 2 700ma buckpucks that I need wired together. I'm just not sure how. Should they be run in parallel or series?
Thanks.
Looks like there's enough room above each led to add your own to get rid of the spacing.
It is a DPDT. Even unplugging the switch from the board while it's running doesn't turn it off.
Interesting enough, I've found that if I cross 2 of the wires that aren't supposed to touch (from...
From the looks of everything it's all good. No errant solder touching other leads. I reseated all connections. Gave everything a wiggle and still nothing. I can literally have nothing connected...
Anakin 2002 EL. I know these were notorious for sound problems. But this doesn't make any sense to me. Regardless of the position of the switch, the saber stays on. The EL will turn on and off...
Yeah. That's currently what I have.
I was just blown away by the mah of these f-cells.
I came across this one at first.

NiMH instead of Li-Po.
1.2v instead of 3.2 though.
Darn. I just realized they are 1.3. I thought they were 1.2.
I misread :(
Anyone ever tried using an f-cell battery?
1.5v and up and a few thousand mah.
And they're just about the right size to just about fit in a standard diameter hilt.
Appears to be a string:

I made the same mistake you did. They will not fit in any AA holder. Much much larger than an AA.
How could one recharge a pack like this if it weren't being set up in-hilt with a recharge port?
I believe it's a straight pass through.
Remember, a minimum of 6v is needed to run the board. Even with 4 aaa batteries it's going to dip below 6v.
Also, I noticed in the video no resistor or puck in line anywhere. Is there? At 6v I...
Too low of voltage or low battery will cause the continuous swing sound. Board requires at least 6v.
The same thing happened to me.
I'm just about finishing up my first saber with it. I'll get up pics and a video soon.
I'll tell you what I know. It's a very nice board for the price. Compact. Wire soldering points are great...
It's all part of the experience. Campfire story.
If the ones in the store are too big, you should be able to pick up smaller ones at any hardware store or even an automotive store. It should be no more than a $1 for a pack of 5.
A plastic camera film roll container or an old prescription pill bottle seem to just fit the inner diameter of the mhs pieces.
I used the film roll for my build. Works beautifully. You can drill...
Perhaps these could be options? If even possible.

Agreed. Pieces sold separately would make it more desirable to buy and mod. As well as offer kits.
You could use a rubber o-ring too in place of the clip.
