I think you should mill out the MHS slotted extension so you've a larger view port, other wise nice job.

With the exception of the Robe, which is rubbish, the costume from Jedi Robe Boots and belt, will pass rebel legion standards, but you will need a decent Robe, food pellets, and pouches.
As it...
I'd say that's a stirling first effort.
Curious about the sleeve being cut down the middle? The only thing for me which doesn't fit the asthetic.
I like bob in Latin, but like bob,...
This is the first saber I've liked in a fair while, quite a thing over all. Very well done.
Yes, it's textured and is nice on the shroud, complements the gloss PC on the blade holder.
The Chassis came out really well and considering it was done with drill and files it came out well IMO....
And some more. Vid up soon.

Hi Peeps
I said I put up some more photos of this saber.
Now I have it in hand I'm blown away by how good the CF board is, the sound fonts and the choice is great.

I wanted it to be quite open so you can see the chassis and crystal, there are two more viewing slots on the other side.
Personally i'm not a fan of covered CC's because you can't see the effort...
Hi All
Been a while since I've posted a completed saber on here. As in my usual way, I get grand ideas, which I can't quite finish, so I defer to my good pal Daren at JQ and he does a great job of...
Ha very clever stuff, been a while since a saber had a bit of a twist......see what I did there. lol
I'm real real late on this one, but the etching is great. Good job my friend.
Hi All
I've had a few parts lying around for a while and with CE 2 coming up in Germany next year I thought I'd make a more OT Jedi saber.
Plans are in flux at the moment regarding the switch...
I'm more wondering how you got your hands on a CF 5.6 to be honest. Not jealous a bit......
That said the sled is nice, those new parts of tims work well.
Good jobc
PS a shroud job would...
Oh my days. Is it possible to re-raise the dead from the dead. Seastrider this was a post from 2009 necro'd on March 2012. Did you not see the post a little above yours?
The dead should remain...
You could glue a Mom switch onto the inside of some PVC tube and cut the knob down so it sits flush with the inside of the MHS. Drill a hole for the knurled screw and position the mom under it. You...
In the MHS I went against the grain it seems, plus I voted without having first looked at the polls. And I would have done the same again as I'm not over keen on the poll leader. Strange.
As for...
I see what you're saying about the saber, though you could have made a shoto and kept the symetry.
Nah I'd agree with the art professor, I am mildly insane...... hopefully that wont bloom into...
Personally I dont think sound is out of the question. Instead of just the 1.5in ext you could use a 2in DF, I'd go for pommel 8, one less choke, a double male, see pic. 6973
a 7.4v Li-ion 2600mAh...
Being a guy who likes symetry this kinda messes with my head. Why are they so different?
Otherwise a good job.
Hi All
Just another quick update. I've done some asthetic and functional work over the weekend. I drilled a hole through my chassis discs to allow a lenght of the hollow tube through, This I'm...
I'm with Jay-Gon, because the blade holder slides in from the bottom there should be no twisting to the point of breaking. My wires did twist a very small amount so the blade holder alligned with the...
I like this one too. It has a nice mixture of OT and EU saber design. Never been a big fan of clamp style switch boxes, but I do think it fits the saber nicely.
It's a quartz crystal that wicker people use for scrying or something like that. It's been machined to points on both ends so it sits in the 8mm holes in my brass discs. Bit of a touch that was.
Hi All.
Been tinkering today and the crystal I found for the chamber solved the problem I was having with how to mount it. Here are some additional pics.

If by button you mean switch it really depends on the switch you want to use, for me it's better figure what switch is best for the design, rather than what switch you like. For example a tactile...
