There's also a "Part 4". Make sure you watch all 4 of them before attempting the wrap. It's pretty easy if you pay close attention. :)
Thanks for the kudos. The tutorials for paracord wrapping I used are at paracordist.com. Specifically, check the 4 video series on the long turks head knot.
Hey gang. Well, it's done! I have to apologize for not documenting this project better, but hey... ;)
Overall, I'm pleased with how this came out, especially considering this is a first build. ...
Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I got around to fiddling with this again today... I did as suggested and removed all the solder from the contacts, cleaned the board, and tried again. No...
I do have only one pack. I suppose it's possible something is damaged with the batteries, but they've only been charged twice, so I can't imagine they'd be bad already... ?
I'll try these suggestions, Zzan. Thanks.
Update: No luck on the SD card theory. Tried a different card with same results.

These first two shots are the board as it is now. Please excuse the crappy soldering; the connections on there now are temporary for testing. All that is connected is the speaker and...
Ok, I pulled the board, disconnecting everything but the speaker. I hard wired the battery to the board, and I get the same symptom. Yikes... I don't see any obvious signs of damage / shorting /...
To clarify, I'm using a 7.4v pack. And, I just charged up and, unfortunately, the problem remains. Any other ideas before I tear this thing apart? ;)
Beautiful! Makes perfect sense... Now that I think of it, I've had other electronics act similarly with low batteries. Will give it a shot!
I just finished my first saber and did final assembly. Everything worked great for a little while, then something bad must have happened... Either the board shorted out or I have a bad connection...
To assemble this build the way I planned required drilling through three MHS sections at the same time, assembled. I had obvious reservations of how this would impact the threads and overall...
So, after a while of having various items being backordered at different times, waiting, having some become available and others then go on backorder (ack!)... I decided to just order what I could...
Nice design...
Yes. Have a few different styles I'm considering.
Thanks for the tips. Ya, it would be nice if the builder had more of the internal components available to spec out and test for fit. I was planning to use a 2" extension between the emitter and the...

Here's the rough sketch. Proportions are obviously not 100% accurate, but this will give you the idea.
Greetings everyone! After a year of entertaining the idea of building a saber, and lurking forums, I've decided to go for it. I'll post a build log here, and will probably have some questions as I...
