Yes I thought that would bring a smile!
I think that your right.
Its not quiet by any means though so pretty happy.
Nope I had a 8 ohm in there before too. It says in the post you referenced. Changed the 8 ohm 0.5w to a 8 ohm 2w bsss speaker. I think the perceived lower volume is just because the sound is now...
I quick clip of my FXSaberOS saber!

Well in the end I have disabled Quarternion swing detection. It feels better to me without it on. All is now good. Can you tell me if its possible to make it louder though as it was very loud with...
Ok cool I'll give that a go. At the moment unless I do a spin where the hilt is spinning around or a fast reverse direction ie one way and then straight back the other it doesn't even go into a swing...
Yes it works great and I didn't realise when I set out that the colour profiles are saved per soundfont so once set up you can pretty instantly switch between your presets. Thats a great feature as...
Ok think I've finished now. The blade is looking good and the arduino based sound and driver is working well using the great fxsaberos sketch. Big thanks to those guys. Some great coding there.

This saber is right up my street. Sabers were always supposed to have been cobbled together from parts by Jedis with access to limited bits and bobs.
This looks just like that and great to boot.
Fantastic build this.
Lots and lots of inspiration for any budding sabersmith!!
Well my tri cree arrived so a couple of pics of the blade test. Pretty pleased so far, just need to get the electronics done.

Very cool. A sword from a long long long time ago in a galaxy far far away!
Looks great. I think the red blade suits it the best though. Definetly a sith style hilt.
I am not generally a fan of clawed hilts but I do like the pommel switch idea, very well implimented!...
Ok so just finished the CADs for the 3D printed chassis for the saber.
A bit different this in that the front end (pink) is left inside the saber and routes all the wiring from the external...
Cheers. I'm sure there will be some interesting moments on the way!!
Just a little update. I'm now going to do the elecronics in this with arduino and FXsaberOS. It will run a RrBG tri cree and have a 3D printed plug in chassis with crystal chamber. I wont light the...
Thanks. Yes I was always a fan of Obi Wans lightsaber but I wanted more handle to suit my hand and a half kenjutsu fighting style. Pretty pleased with how the proportions panned out.
The fawcett...
No worries Greenie. I followed your link from your comment on my thread. I just had to congratulate you on a job well done!!
Absolutely love the inside of this. I really need to get a lathe in my shop to turn up some custom stuff like this. This is defineately one to aspire to.
Looks great this. Love the metal chassis with CC. I need to do something like this on my next build.
Thanks, its made from perforated car stereo speaker mesh. I painted it gold of course prior to weathering it in.
Thanks bud. I'm really liking where its going.
This was it the other day when I dug it out of mothballs.

A fair bit too shiney for my liking. I imagine thats how it was when I first...
A few pics of my latest project.
Its a rework of a custom saber I built about 11 years ago when EL wire was a thing, it was a 3/4 back then but I've opened up the emitter to take a 7/8. I've...
