Rebooting does sound a lot like its tripping the battery protection circuit trying to pull more amperage than it can spit out.
Only way to eliminate that variable is replacing the battery....

Does it reboot constantly if you just start it up with the blade already inserted? If so it might be a sign of either uncharged battery or said battery being insufficient.

I'd just be rewiring all...

Check the pads on the LED's themselves around where it stops doing what he should be doing. I had one lift off and cause the rest of the strip after it to bork out and stay on without it actually...

There are 18650's with 15a discharge(which is the important part for having a functional blade), though they do tend to have a lesser capacity than the 3500mah 10a cells.
Thar also be 26650's out...

Safe to say I still highly recommend one of the nitecore suckers if it truly takes 24hrs to get a 4.20v~ charge.
Just charged mine today and it only took 3.5hrs with a nitecore d4....

Do yourself a favour and get one of the smart chargers from nitecore or xtar. An i4 should have it charged in a couple of hours...

Have you got the right number of pixels set in the config file?
Its just the number on one side of the two strips, not the total of both.

Failing that, and assuming you've got the strips going in...

I could very well have been wrong, but I put mine on + to + and - to - right at the start of the strips, together with the resistor on the data line.

I've got a Keeppower 3500mah 18650 in mine - it does last a fairly acceptable amount of time(though I've not measured).
I'm sure other brands like nitecore or say panasonic are also more than...
