Awesome work bud!
As a fan of the TFU Starkiller, I always love seeing these builds. I just finished my first build (an MHS Starkiller) a little over a month ago & I can definitely agree it was a difficult build my...
That's is awesome! Looking forward to seeing the finished product!
Personally, I think he would have built a new one even if Obi-Wan hadn't taken the graflex, one final tie from his past to sever before becoming the lovable mechano-man we know now.
I also love...
The group I practice with here in Arizona called Syndicate Saber United & pretty sure this group is only here in AZ, but there is another group called The Saber Guild who I believe has chapters...
Pretty sure 0.4 is the standard length of the male threads...I also learned the hard way that those discs (& the LED housings) clock the parts weird so if you have holes or need something to line up...
Looking good so far!
As far as the switch, there are magnetic switches that activate when a steel ring is brought in close proximity, you might look into one of those for your "force activation"...
Absolutely beautiful! I love the sled reveal! Kanan's hilt is one of my favorites & one I'd like to build eventually.
Sorrow sounds like an interesting character. I love reading backstories like this & I can't wait to see what her saber will look like!
Don't worry about the time it takes to complete your build,...
Awesome...thank you! That's the kit we thought it was, just had to double check
So a friend got one of these for his birthday & we're looking to do a conversion & I'm wondering which (if any) conversion kit works for this one? Also if there are any video tutorials out there,...
I have the heavy duty red day blade that TCSS sells & it is awesome! Highly recommend it
That is a lot of personal choice:
- Blade length will depend on your height...hold your hilt at rest & measure from there to the ground
- Style is also a personal choice, albeit a limited...
Very nice...I just finished my own Starkiller hilt & cutting the Graflex shroud was an interesting challenge, I was lucky enough to find a template that helped me. Looking forward to seeing this one...
Damn, that is gorgeous...love the chamber!
Congrats!
There is a momentary to latching converter in the store, but I don't know that that is what you're looking for:

It sounds like you're planning something similar to how I did mine, my RC port is hidden inside the lower half of my hilt as well. I'm lucky enough to have a friend familiar with 3D design who was...
Typically thinner blades are believed to be brighter & show color better. However, I have 2 of the heavy blades that TCSS sells (one of which is a red day blade) with their diffusers & they show...
There's absolutely no rule saying you CAN'T do it...When I originally planned to get a staff, I was planning on an asymetrical build as well. My plan was to use a US dark Initiate v3 & a Dominix v3,...
Looks like it should be ok...depending on where you planned to put the crystal, you might have room
This hobby is definitely adicting isn't it?
Looks like a good list so far, if you're interested in doing a chamber/chassis, you will probably have to seperate your main body into smaller pieces....
Very nice Jake...been following this build on Facebook since you & I started brainstorming. Such an awesome build!!
VERY nice!
What is this one based on? Just outta curiosity what was it you didn't like about your v1? I am working on a Starkiller hilt based on MHSv1 parts & I'm beyond happy with how mine is...
Wow, thanx for the tip Minor...I don't think I would have thought of that! I will keep you informed on the progress!
