Yeah good idea thanks.
On that note, is sandpaper a good way to give the saber a weathered effect?
Heh i wouldn't dare try anything like painting it myself, especially for a first saber.
ahk thanks for the info, i'll just wait i think.
good guess
And after all that i can't order it yet due to one of the pieces being out of stock lol
Lol either way thankyou, as luck would have it I actually had a force vision of a soundboard in my future :D
Awesome thankyou so much for all of your help GFJedi and everyone else who input to this, I wouldn't have had a hope without your insight and guidance.
Feels kinda like masters guiding a youngling...
Heh I don't think i wrote it out correctly but I meant to say what you said. The components don't drain the power as they go, the current simply passes through them powering them and then continues...
I was originally thinking using the Li-Ions would be easiest, but the fact I can't import em over here is why I didn't mention them. Since I don't know a thing about electronics i'd rather buy off of...
The simplest fix for the voltage seems to be to switch to the 6 AA holder with a total of 7.2v. I'm not sure if it would fit in the saber with everything else though.
If I do get the 6 holder,...

MPS Pommel style 7
Main Body Powder Coating (Wet Black) (DFS2)
Ah cool thanks
Lol thanks for the info mate, hopefully I will eventually add a soundboard to this one or even my second one should I ever make it. Is there something i can put on the end of the saber when the blade...
If in doubt, lube! Thanks mate.

good idea. Again thankyou so much for the help, i really appreciate it.
aside from getting that extra resistor does the setup look ready to go?
Is the BuckPuck 700mA 4-wire the right one for a red saber? I remember seeing that red and orange need 700 whereas the other colours are 1000. I've chosen the 7.4v Li-ion 800mAh 14500 Battery Pack to...
Fantastic thanks for the info mate.
Ok new order list working off of that post GFJedi linked. Roughly half the price!

I've already had a peruse through the site and looked at a few different posts including the one you linked. I was originally just going to follow that post however as i continued looking i found the...
