Celticblood,
Yup, read your original post.
I don't know how the Li-ON batteries were sent by the company you contacted. If they sent it via normal airmail/post it would not pass most customs....

Celticblood,

Have you tried RS-Online?
I'm based in Australia and they import their stuff from the UK when I ordered my 18650 - did not get any hassles. They also have a French website.
I don't speak...
Is this the complete list? I don't see a soundboard so I am assuming that you are building a stunt saber.
Disclaimer: I am a noob myself so take this with a grain of salt. :p
I will add:
one...
We'll do our best, Teejay. But it's almost certain that one of the veterans will have a gander before us and give some helpful advise. For example, I don't think Forgetful Jedi Knight (FJK) sleeps. :D
No worries, Teejay. I guess the "noob DIY thread" answered (most of) your questions. :)
Good luck on your build!
Approximately two weeks once it left Tim's shop (probably a day or two less). I ordered about mid-year last year. I had some milling services on mine so that took about week before it was ready to...
My order went through without a fuss. Be prepared to wait, though, but TCSS provides a tracking number even for the cheapest option so you know where your items are once it leaves the shop. I think...
D'oh! :o
Just in case my post was taken seriously, it was tongue-in-cheek. I was going for the strike-through font effect from MS-Word on the words "plagiarise steal" text. Evidently, word...
Ooooo, exciting times! More designs to plagiarise steal be inspired with. :p
Welcome, DarthScohin! :)
Welcome, ArkAngel! :D
Brett, replied to your PM (and all good about your post).
I got 18650 dual-pack (for longer runtime) which I believe will NEVER fit inside a standard MHS hilt's internal diameter (heatshrinked or...
I got mine from au.rs-online and searched for "18650" (change according to your preferred battery). They ship from their UK office/warehouse, though, so you still have to wait a couple of weeks.
...
Welcome to the forums and the hobby! :-)
Welcome to the Forums and to the universe of (prop) lightsaber building.
The search box in this forum will be your friend. I second the suggestion to read up on anything you are curious about,...
Hi Ursa,
Have you checked this thread? It is LED string and I think Obi1 only used ~84 LEDs.
Just from the pics, I think he has a space-friendly solution to battery/power question.
Cheers...
Welcome to the Forum!
You can get a lot of inspiration from this thread: http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/showthread.php?676-Custom-Sabers
Welcome to the forums, Tal717.
I had the same question for Erv' of Plecter Labs about that. His reply:
"the PC (and CF) indeed has a current regulator so you don't need resistor for the main...
Welcome to the forum! :D
I had difficulty in sourcing the Li-ON battery as well (Australia-based). RS-Online was the one that finally delivered for me and coincidentally, they said (when I asked...
Welp, got it to work now (wiring-wise) - just got the sound working last night. I struggled a bit with the momentary switch; over-complicating what is essentially a broken connection.
So,...
Got the parts just waiting on my battery pack. Apparently, it's coming from the UK according to the helpdesk when I rang. I can't imagine what is so special with an 18650 pack that Australia has to...
I think we just witnessed a kata from the previously-undiscovered 8th-style lightsaber technique.
Hexagonal tube shroud/sleeve, please!
So we can do this hilt design. :)
Been getting a lot of inspiration from this thread.
As for the hilt, this speaks to me.
Mind you, I'll be happy to have my LEDs light up with sound!
-pommel style 4
-hilt style 1
-extension style 3 (x2)
-blade holder style 2
Made a mistake with the blade holder thinking that the blade would go the full length/depth of the piece (approx....
