Thanks much. That's a ton of help. Also I was wondering. I have seen people series wire the LEDs in two different ways. One (The most common I have seen on sabers) Is By connecting the 2 positives...
I have a quick question on wiring in series. I am building a saber using a PC, a GGW tri cree, and a 7.4V battery. (There are no accent LEDS or such going into this build.) I had originally planed on...
Nope. This one: http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/MHS-to-125-sink-tube-adapter-P396.aspx
I love those blade holders for eco projects though.
The MHS to 1.25" sink tube adapters in 1.18 size for those of us that use 20ga sink tubes and vac tubes.
Exactly.
Grrrrr.... Never mind. Just learned a little bit about switches and fixed the problem. Thanks anyway.
I was working on a saber and for no apparent reason had the led in my short AV switch die. So I pulled out an couple of older Long AV switches I picked up a year or so ago and never had occasion to...
Anor: "There are thousands of warriors out here. You are only one man!"
Rhysode: "I am only one Jedi."
Anor: "You're insane!"
Rhysode: "No. I am Ganner. This threshold is mine. I...
Gut an Eco...You'll feel better. Really... And Hasbro will make more. It's kinda what they do. Then when the new board come out from TCSS, you can buy one of those too. =D
You are going to need a Momentary switch as stated. I would also HIGHLY recommend going with a Li-Ion battery solution...
Awesome up grades. That chassis looks amazing. The new AUX switch gives a nice balance to the box almost like the arrows on the Luke RotJ. This saber just keeps getting better.
Ah... Never mind. I just psyched my self out because I had never used the JSTs on the port before. I just set down and did it, and it worked perfectly. Thanks anyway. =D
I could have sworn that I saw a thread on wiring up a saber using JST connectors on the recharge port with pictures and every thing. But now I just cant seem to find it. I have wired up recharge...
Any chance of getting the standard chassis disc that are now only available in metal in a clear acrylic?
That's a great looking saber. Looks like a lot of Ahsoka with a little Quinlan, and Obi added in for good measure. PVC or metal, heck you could have built this thing out of used chewing gum and if it...
Awesome looking saber bro. The Steamy across the room (You know the one *L*) says its more Dieselpunk than Steampunk. But other than that says it looks great. I say their are too many dang punks...
This board is identical to the other removable blade sabers. Check out the other conversions and you will figure it out.
As long as you don;t see it. lol
Great build, and a good choice to go with leather. ;)
Oh, I have all the confidence in the world in my work. Mostly because, I actually do use my sabers to spar full contact.
You on the other hand should take the time to get to know a few of the...
Ah... I would say that the Vast majority of the members "duel" with their sabers in some form. Some just for fun, some as part of the entertainment industry, ans some as part of a part of a...
Going back to the question of using the honorifics of Master or Darth…
I have built around 35 sabers now. A mere drop in the bucket compared to most of the old guard on the boards. I can do pretty...
This project got suddenly interrupted Saturday night when our families newest lil Jedi decided to make his scheduled appearance. =D...
I just got confused when I went to look up the batteries in the store and there were no unprotected 18650s. I will certainly run a search on the NCR 18650s. Tabs and run time both sound great.
