Well, here is Master Chief in his entire pistol-whippin’ glory. A very good friend of mine sculpted this creation, and I obtained his permission to post these pictures to the public.
It should be...
All happiness to you Darth Leximus!
Anyway, my plans for the moment include finishing up a stunt saber, as well as to begin work
on a good friend's personal saber. He bought the parts from TCSS...
Novastar:
I would have to say that NOT swinging the saber around could be bad without a fan: I believe constant airflow is very important.
Also, the rate of airflow may even be critical for...
UPDATE:
Well, I haven't had any time to work on the above hilt (midterm week :().
BUT I have had time to quickly finish up another simple saber: my sister's
pink saber ( /sigh/ why is it...
This made my evening (been studying all night) :)
I know this is a little old, but:

You can just make two vertical notches on each side of the lens holder, as you can see above,...
I would certainly like to. However, I don't know what type of paint to use. I do have an automotive vinyl interior paint, but it might crack and split once applied.
Figured I'd post this here, since it isn't finished yet.
An extremely simple hilt; just slapped it together over the weekend with a little help from a Dremel.
It has (or will have):
1.25"...
Well, I've finally had time to work on this hilt:

Um, wow... didn't know I'd get a response so quickly. Anyway, I figure I'll try to answer a few of the things that everyone is asking about.
@ xl97:
I don't think you'll be able to easily find...
I was originally going to post the completed hilt, but my excitement got the better of me...

Well, the first thing that comes to mind, for some reason, is the screws that you would use to build this saber. If you're trying to child-proof this hilt, I would suggest using allen head screws....
Just saw this yesterday. I have to say, as others have said, that this film did exceed my expectations. The voice acting was actually pretty good, especially compared to the prequel films ;)

I must comment on this one. Most impressive job!
The "very layered" look on this gives me ideas for some future projects. The use of craft aluminum in particular caught my attention.
Thanks :)
I took advantage of the savings as well, buying (some of) the parts I need to finally make a couple more sabers.
Thanks, Tim! I saved so much that I basically got free shipping!
Ahh, Halo. The third installment looks great. I've had a chance to play the game in multiplayer mode, but the differing controls from Halo 2 to Halo 3 are going to take me a day or two to get used to...
Thanks for the comments, everyone!
Thanks for reminding me about the protective goggles, Vazan. I have a pair, and should use them more often.
Here is my first lightsaber. It is a green Lux V, using Corbin's board, and has no sound. Most of the components were bought from TCSS; only the aluminum tube, PVC, and random bolts and screws were...
I'd just like to say hi to everyone here on the forums.
I've been surfing around here for months now, and finally decided to join. I'll be posting my first LED saber shortly (within a couple of...
