Love it. Every part of that saber is WIN!
Wow, I hadn't seen that review before. It's really good. It didn't ruin TPM for me, TPM already did that.
I think you guys are spot on with the suggestions. Fortunetally I happen to have an extra ring intended for placement at the pommel. Here's a quick mock-up for comparison.

Interesting. Do you have more pics of the saber lit up? A comparison to other more common LED setups would be great. Also, pics of the LED itself and your method of mounting it would be great too.
Stellar work, as always LDM. Loving the copper hilt and yellow blade combo.
Thanks guys.
@angle: Yes, the compression rings are plumbing fixtures. Normally, the largest you can get at a hardware store is .75". So when I went to my local hardware store asking about 1.5"...
Hi saber-fans! Been a while since I've posted and wanted to show off my latest creation.
I call this Valkyrie. I built this for my girlfriend, according to some elements she liked in other...
Amazing! The speaker/crystal chamber setup is inspired. And the level of intricate detail on this piece is astounding.
That would actually work. Just make sure you've got good coverage with the paint. Two or three different coats wouldn't hurt. Otherwise, the saltwater will get through any small bubbles in the...
Very nice saber. Love the custom activation box. I too am curious about the battery holder; is the disc a found part or did you make it?
Gamestop. Definitely.
Really, both of these options will be available as DLC eventually. But out of the two I'd rather have the Maulkiller and silver crystal now. Don't know why they never had a...
Fantastic! That's probably the best parody I've seen in a while.
I know in fiction it's common for a hero's sword to have a name--almost like the sword is a character, or has a soul. Glamdring, Hrunting, Andaril, etc.
Still, naming a lightsaber seems odd to...
Awesome job, Eastern. That's one of my all time favorite hilts, and you've truly done it justice. Kudos!
I'm digging the PC scheme on this one. Nice.
Very nice. Can't wait to see it lit up!
On my saber, I drilled holes in the MHS part for the clamp tabs to fit in to. The main reason was that I couldn't ruin the clamp, because I was "borrowing" it from my Graflex. ;)
Eh, I think the mistake was in asking members to meet off-site. C5 had plenty of room for us to meet and hang out right there at the convention. Live and learn I guess...
If you're looking for RB saber blades in ANH, then check out Andywan's fan-edit (assuming you own a copy of the licensed ANH). I highly recommend it.
...On topic, I feel like this scene is a bit...
Hey folks, hope everyone's having a great time at C5. Jedi Mahi and I were at the Ale House at 5. I thought one of the waiters there was gonna wet himself when he saw our sabers--pretty funny. ...
**Update: So, apparently there are going to be a ton of Star Wars parties at the Ale House at 8 PM. The only time slot I was able to get was 5 PM on Friday. I've booked for a group of 15 to be on the...
Nice saber. Love the name! How long is that blade? No way I'd mess with you, wielding that!
That is a most excellent saber. Love the choke/window a la Starkiller. I'm not usually big on exposed crystals, but I really like this one.
Awesome Xanthus! I'll just go ahead and mark you confirmed.
Sorry to hear that Obi-Dar. Thanks for letting me know. Maybe next time.
So, I've done some calling around and I think that the Ale House on International Drive is our best bet. The menu looks...
