Noooooooo!!
If you're planning on using the covertec as a kill key, then I don't think you'd be able to use it as a recharge port. I could be wrong on that though, hopefully someone with more experience could...
Really nice design. If it were me, I'd not have that glass eye on the bottom, but that's a personal preference thing. Have you thought about putting the recharge port into the covertec?
I'm assuming that it's going to be neo-pixel strips. I know there's at least one build out there at the minute. Plenty of LED blades out there that are removable these days as well. Seem to be fairly...
It was the logo for the Jedi Knight series of games. Sadly, no longer canon. Hope Katarn is brought back some how.
That looks great. Nice and subtle weathering works a treat.
Ace. Thanks very much for that. I shall consider it the AA.
Hi guys.
It's been a heck of a long time (High school) since I've done electronics so I'm having to relearn how everything works. Before going on to building a sabre with sound, I want to put a...
It should only really be necessary to use a stunt for duelling if you're doing filming work, and that's only so that there's a clean audio track to work with for dialogue etc. For live duelling, you...
Damn, that's a nice sabre.
How about Black and white, but chip/scratch off some of the white in areas to give it a slightly used look? Get all three colours that way.
Burying it in a box full of dirt is another one you could do. Infact, combine that with the method in the first post may give you a good weather effect all around.
I actually wowed when I saw that. Great work.
fx-sabers.com/forum/ is the best place to go for info on this.
"Real" lightsaber combat, assuming that it's a one on one duel would probably be more like epee, maybe with a little kendo. I see where you're coming from, but since lightsabers can easily cut...

At least one version of the prop had a graflex clamp. I think the only version that didn't...
The thing with carbon fibre blades, or any non-lit prop is that you can't see the tip of the blade when it's moving fast. The top half of it tends to blur out. The lit up blades are easier to see...
Though you'll still need to rotoscope, if you're going for the movie look. Lit up blades certainly make it easier, but they still look like lights in tubes unless you over expose the shot. Problem...
Personally, I use DeviantArt. It's a really good site and easy to manage folders etc. Pretty good community on there as well and you can choose what size the picture displays at.
That makes three of us.
More ribbed/choke combo's would be cool. Maybe some chokes that aren't as thin as the ones we already have. How about a body section similar to Kit Fisto's hilt?
I love it. As a fencer, doubly so.
How about more varieties of ribbed/choke combo's? For example, the choke on BH 21/22 on a ribbed extension or Choke 3 on a ribbed extension. Possibly a short choke 3 as well, please?
Brilliant saber. Great work.
It reminds me of one of the sabers in TOR.
