I like the way you used the texture PC; makes it look machined out of cast metal.
A kid **with issues...** (New reality series: "Growing up Sith.") =)
All kidding aside, very nice saber. It...
Tiny Vader, you look so cute!!
Oh, wow. I'll risk Wars/Trek blasphemy here.
This opens the door to Jean-Luc Picard's "Engage"- activated lightsaber...
Thanks for replying and confirming my instincts. It's a shame the new toy isn't perfect, but as long as it works. (Now to find the time to actually use it...)
Double thanks to Strydur for the...
Wonderful "for kids" design. I'm loving the rounded pommel.
The grip parts remind me of shower curtain rings; can we call this one the Del Griffith? :D
She's going to love it. My son's...
Just think of it as a really big, flat rock. ;)
Hey, y'all. I just picked up a Craftsman PC system off eBay (along with a nifty wall-mount convection oven via craigslist).
Unfortunately, the stupid little cup-locking knob, which apparently...
Fine looking saber. Love the look of the EL accents.
Is there anything covering the EL wire? It looks like not, but I've never worked with it. It's tough enough to go on bare?
I'm so tempted to get on a soapbox here, but I think my personal rant about the trilogies could be a whole new thread. It definitely shouldn't get shoehorned in here.
There's a lot to love and...
Thanks for the tip, hopefully that sale's in effect out here in Denver as well.
EDIT: Just to clarify, that is the price available on Kmart's website, too. If you've been waiting to get your hands...
That's a damn fine saber. Love the blade color especially; you nailed it.
If you have the time, can you post the wiring details for this one, or your multimeter readings at the blue and red LED...
Heh. You're a cruel bastard, skott!
I was just looking at some powdercoat materials, and saw (what I think) is a pretty close match for that saberstaff rendering. Not sure about how one would mask...
You build, me buy. Too awesome. (Or is that, two=awesome?)
Heh. That pretty much echoes my feeling when I see what the masters here are producing. (It is indeed unfair to set the bar this...
This is shaping up to be a beast. Your wife is going to love it.
...and that latch is just genius. I think if I ever build a staff, I'll take the lazy route and stick to pressure hose...
That is one bad little unit. I love the simplicity of the overall design combined with the awesome details like the lighted pommel.
As my wife is fond of saying, God is in the details. Well done.
Nice little lathe/mill combo. I miss having access to machine tools at work!
If it keeps unscrewing on you, try the teflon tape. Works great on plumbing and high-pressure hose.
Very nice result from a humble material. I'm still lurking and learning here, but itching to build my first saber. All that leftover PVC in the garage... it's good to see there's potential to get...
