Fantabulous!
Very nice, I love the layering and shroud. It keeps an original SW feel and proves to be very unique simultaneously. Beautifully industrial crystal chamber, reminds me of a furnace & stove pipe
Wow great work, they all look very unique too.
Oh darn, the 2010 boards are $20 near me, sucks. Thanks for the tip for cutting them out though.
How do you figure sound at $16 the cheapest sound board I know of will cost you $20 + $6 speaker. Is there something else your using?
Note: I suppose you could use the crappy speaker attached to...
This is all true but the issue here is cost. If you sacrifice your ability to duel and the ascetic of the visible mirror at the end of your blade to cut costs its fine by me. It can be difficult to...
I tried using wrap in my Trans White and it only made it dimmer. I don't see the point. also most people have glue sitting around... you don't absolutely need epoxy (especially if your going cheap).
Excellent! Glad to hear it, it's so much more fun with the flickering effects.
You don't need to do all of that anymore to make a good blade and if your looking for cheap pricing just get a Trans White Blade and a Blade Tip - $11 DONE! Trust me they look great I just finished...
Ronan: you need to use a transistor looped into the positive lead off the board and the original control leads. Look at this diagram (bottom of the page)...
Thanks every one. Evolution of a Hero - sounds like a sub-line title of a movie ha ha.
Darth Midian: yeah some times I'll just wanter around the hardware store looking for ideas. I actually have a...
The Birthday Commission (First MHS)
One of my friends has an older brother who is quite the Star Wars fan and who's Birthday was coming up. Not having made any MHS sabers before I mad a deal,...
1st one. It is more sleek, has a more alluring design and will most likely be easier to cut.
Great stuff! What a creative Idea for the clash, I really like how these new boards deal with it... adding that sizzle/flicker after the initial clash and it looks awesome with your flash system!
That made me laugh, so I drafted this up.

What type of board is in the Makoto?
Beautiful as always! Do we have any pics or vids of these sabers in daylight?
Very polite and helpful,
btw follow LDM's work, you'll learn quite a lot.
My girlfriend has 2 dogs that absolutely hate vacuum cleaners, hair dryers and even wheelbarrows (herders). So I knew sabers were not going to be popular. I let them smell and hang out with inactive...
Manners Please... :-?
No, I understand completely well how the AV switches work, thank you. I've just never seen the Bezel Nut in person before and thought perhaps they were wide enough (bored out) to accommodate an AV...
Is it possible with or without modification to use the Switch Bezel Nut to hold the Illuminated Switches or are they even larger than the Bezel Nut?
Thanks
(I'm sure you did this but...) Did you try any children's science and learning stores? or museum gift shops (if you have any near you), one can usually find cheap, real shark teeth.
Excellent job, looks fantastic. I love to see a nice painted saber, so rare. Keeping in style of classic Star Wars art as well, I guess being a graphic designer pays off, lol.
Why can't you put the Sound Board after the LED allowing you to power the LED at full trough a Driver then drop what ever you need so as not to fry the board?
Can't you also hardwire the board ON,...
Does that mean that theoretically I can use the Adjustable Driver + Add-on Board attached to THIS 2010 Hasbro board on a relay? I was just wondering if there were any foreseen problems that more...
