When you say "Not bright enough" what exactly do you mean? Is it barely glowing or is it just not as bright as you want? Did you wire this yourself or was it made by another company?

Ya I know I will probably only get 30-40 min but it is much more expensive for a 18650 setup. Will this transistor work well? It says it's a tip42c but I couldn't find a .g...
Will this mosfet work https://www.amazon.com/IRF510PBF-IRF510-Power-N-Channel-transistor/dp/B00I6IAGCA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1469301615&sr=8-1&keywords=N+channel+mosfet+irf510+to220
Or this...
I have read a lot of tutorials on it but I also know that people there are other options besides the tip42 transistor. I also am planning on using rechargeable aaa because the board can't handle the...
Trying to put cheap sound in one of my MHS hilts what do I need besides the board and speaker to make this work. It's already a stunt saber I just need parts for sound. I use Amazon mostly so if you...
If you want the LED bank to turn on and off you need to place it after the switch I think. Sounds like a cool project. Where did you get parts for the body?
I agree, this is not a cheap hobby although it is very fun and rewarding to build your own saber! Thanks for the input! I have contemplated starting a business in my area creating sabers in the...
Hello everyone, I just built my first saber and i am building another one in just a little while so I am not a stranger to saber building but i have a few question for my future sabers.
1. Is a...
It says I do not have permission to post on the map yet I have posted threads elsewhere. Does anyone know how to fix this?
How about you just wire up the LED, battery, switch and resistor, treating the LED like it's just a single Cree and then go from there. If you try to start too complicated it would seem overwhelming...
If anyone has the dimensions for the 4AA battery holder from TCSS that would be awesome. They are out of stock currently so I want to get one from some place like Lowes. Thanks!
No problem! I would love to see the finished product when you get done.
Open up the MHS builder and put this part in the design then select internal view. This should give you a good idea of where it would be safe to put the screw. It is difficult because of the shape...
Hey, have you considered using rechargeable lithium ion AA batteries? It cuts down on the cost of batteries and the holder. If you decide to use say a 18650 style battery you can take a look at the...
So I am planning on using the saber for almost an hour everyday but like you said a lot of it will not need the saber lit. I think I will end up using the four aa battery holder and rechargeable...
I really don't have a preference but this is my first build and I am trying to keep it under 150. I have about ten extra dollars right now so I was think the removable. I don't see a way to get the...
What do think about using the two aa battery holder and two 14500 rechargeable batteries? My only concern is they only have a 900mah rating.
Is it possible to use a standard battery holder to hook up the battery's so the mah rating is multiplied and not the voltage or do you need a special battery pack?
So even if I have four batteries all at say 1000 mah does that mean I only get one hour of time with a one amp draw?
Does anybody have an idea on how long the battery will last for a standard saber using a 4 aaa battery holder? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
