Thanks so much for the quick validation Alcadude! I agree about the recharge port; however, the person that I'm doing the install on wanted the removable 18650 set up. Hence the TCSS speaker v6 set...

Thanks so much for the quick validation Alcadude! I agree about the recharge port; however, the person that I'm doing the install on wanted the removable 18650 set up. Hence the TCSS speaker v6 set...
Hey guys,
I'm wiring my first Prizm and was hoping to get a quick validation letting me know that my wiring is correct. This is for a simple 18650 v6 chassis from the TCSS, so no recharge port.
...
So as a quick follow up and issue. I've wired everything up according to the diagram; however, the switch is always and automatically in the "On" setting (including the small red indicator light on...
Thanks so much Silver Serpent. Thought I'd post the updated diagram in case anyone else ever needs it.

Good day saber smiths,
I've got a bit of a tricky stunt saber that I need a little sanity on the wiring. I'm using 2 x 14500 li-ions to power a 1000mA BuckPuck for a Cree Star LED, a Switch Craft...
Agreed! Can't wait to see it.
Thanks so much for the sanity check guys. Also, Greenie...I made sure to get at least three or four extra pieces of LED tape in case.
Good day all,
I'm about to start wiring my first sabers with sound. I've got the 3.7v 18650 battery pack, Tri-Cree G-G-W with 3 x .5ohm 3w resistors for each LEC die, 2.1mm Switchcraft Recharge...
I actually used ferric chloride with a 2:1 mixture with water for 5 minutes. I'm going to try salt water etching next time. You definitely have more control to do smaller areas with salt water vs....
I used the press and peel blue paper
You know it Derro Kuspin. Already planning mine.:D
Looks great! I'm just moving on to sound myself.
I ended up buying special needle nose pliers that would fit the clip. Also "snap pin pliers" would work.
When I first discovered the wonderful world of combat capable lightsabers, I knew I had to learn to build one like a true Jedi. Thanks to TCSS, Madcow, and all of you I now know how. This completes...
Perfect! Thanks so much Generic Jedi. Now off to the soldering station!
One more quick follow up Silver Serpent...which connection (NO1 or LED +) should the "+" end of the 20mA DynaOhmn variable resistor be pointing at? I'm thinking it should be pointed at the LED"+"...
Excellent! Thanks so much for the confirmation Silver Serpent, and
thanks for the note Hermitjensen (Those long latching switches are pretty funky, so my diagram might of been confusing.
Hey all,
Just getting ready to complete a couple of stunt sabers and need a little validation on my wiring diagram. I'm using a 16mm long latching AV switch and just need to make sure I'm on...
Quick question. On the speaker holders. I'm trying to install the speaker between the pommel & choke. I have a v.4 speaker holder, but it is too long. Do any of the speaker holders have a shorter...
Just as a quick follow up...the #7 plugs and a lot of packaging tape did the trick with the ferric chloride. I tested it on a couple of pieces before holding my breath and etching my TCSS parts. ...
For safety sake I should say that the suggestions I've given are ok for salt water etching. Please, please make sure they are safe for acid before doing anything.[/QUOTE]
Duly noted. Thanks...
Thanks darth_chasm! #7 bottle stoppers ordered. I'll be doing all of the above to the parts/threads. After all it would be bad karma to disrespect Tim's beautiful made parts.
FenixFire, you are awesome! I just looked up "plastic tool dip," and it looks perfect. I'll be running to Home Depot to pick some up and try it. I'll post my test results.
Anyone else have...
So I've got a number of projects going that require acid etching. I've been practicing and feel pretty good about everything but protecting the threads on my TCSS parts. I've tried shipping tape &...
