From what you said, sounds like some JST connecters with those three wires would be best then connect to the (+) and the (-) on the board which would only be one wire sounds like it would do the job.
watch the videos on YouTube that TCSS have you will learn a lot from them. I'm looking forward to getting all my parts so I can do my build.
