The store is sending me a new one. Awesome customer service. I also ordered a cfx and the hilt side pcb with pins now that they are back.
Just sent a message to customer service at the store. I was going to do that earlier, but I wanted them to see a picture of the problem and thought this might be patrolled by Tim.
I just got a couple neo pixel strips from the store and it looks like one of them was damaged in shipping. As you can see in the pic some of the resistors have come off and the strip is a little...
This was the info I was after. When I saw the preview pictures, and the thin neck I was curious if they had figured out how to do a force FX type saber with a removable blade. But this proves the neo...
Now I am wondering, if it the lights are wired to the battery, and the tactile switch is wired to turn it on, would it turn on the lights anyway? Maybe I over thought this and the instructions in the...
I see the store shows you how to wire this up to the saber's 3.7v power source to get the lights working from turning the saber on, but is there a way to use the momentary switch to turn the saber...
I used the separate 7/8" 3d chassis parts from slytools for this, it worked out well. Honestly, the ID is really 1" so you CAN use the MHS from TCSS for this, the ID becomes .88" once you use the...
Now I find this. Google was a lot better than the search function here! Are those accent LEDs the ones found in the store?
I'll come up with something, I do have some extra 3d chassis parts that I never used from my LS6, maybe they will be ok, but I was really hoping MHS could pull this off. Maybe they need to make a...
Well that's a bummer. But you saved me a ton in parts I couldn't use! Thanks! Do I really need all 5 pieces from the slytools dm1 3d parts?
I came up with a good way to activate the saber for the Hero configuration. You will need a 6x6x11 tactile switch and then take a pen and cut the spring down a bit and then you can allow the...
Hi All,
Sadly this forum ignores "DM1" when I use the search function and I've been looking for several days for posts about the topics I need help with but I can't find them.
I have 2...
Yes, I would have liked that too, i'm still dealing with the activation issues. I don't know how to make mine turn on gracefully with the included side buttons. I wanted it to go on with the first...
It looks like it does, if we are talking about the Korbanth LS6 V2/Hero Chassis. You would have to slide down the bottom piece, which is easy since the LS6 was made for this. Access to your sd card...
There is a chassis that someone made already designed for the nb4 (I have it) check shapeways. The same person even makes one for a Crystal, but not the one it comes with (it takes up too much room)....
I have done this build with an NB4, although I ran into the same issues with the chassis. You will need to use a custom 3d printed chassis for this. Look up youtube videos for the LS6, you will get a...
Since I had this light saber hanging around, I decided to try to tackle this. As the other two posts on this have shown, this is fairly involved. At first it seems like there isn't enough room to...
The switch is the least of your worries. Unless you go with a different power supply, or cut the battery pack in half like Rich did, you are going to have a lot of problems. Ask me, I know.
You probably have to use a punch-tool to get it out, it might not even be used again in the conversion.
Ok, now it all works. I just jiggled it a bit and it turned on. So I guess that is a wrap for this thread. Now for the hard part, stuffing all of it in the saber.
I happen to also have the 2005 Luke, so I connected the 03 Vader board to it's battery pack and the sound came on as normal, so I guess the speaker is not getting power. So then I put the vader...
I'm doing a conversion for my 03 Vader right now, and while I was able to get the light to power on during testing, the sound doesn't come on with it and I can't figure out why. I didn't do anything...
I was told that the wiring for this is similar to the 05 Luke, so that's why I used the brown wire, as shown in this photo from another thread.
...
I'm working on this exact same 03 Vader saber right now. I got my LED to power on, but I used the brown wire for power and the other wires for the ground. The led comes on, and its very bright but...
I'm going to attempt this myself. I ordered most of the parts from your list except for the battery, sound, and switch. I'm going to attempt to do this with the original board/battery holder and...
