When trying to determine which resistors to use, which current value do I use? The page for the Blue/Blue/White tri-cree reads:

So, I ended up wiring this way and it worked fine, without any resistors. All three LED's were lighting up and it was super bright, it looked great. One of my connections, the white LED ended up...
Yes it is a latching switch. Thanks again!
Could someone just tell me if this is correct? The LED is Blue/Blue/White (Tri-) Cree XP-E2 CopperNova. Previously this set up has worked fine with Luxeon Rebel Star (Blue) and Cree XP-E2 (Green).

That's true. I didn't even think of that. Knowing how much heavier a thick walled PC tube is vs. the thin walled, a solid rod would probably be pretty heavy.
Has anyone ever tried this? I found this after googling "Polycarbonate Rod".

The outer diameter is 1". It...
Duck tape (or maybe a thinner, wider tape, like masking)? Around the blade? I am not an accomplished saber maker by any means, but this is what I would do.
It's been a while since this was completed but I just wanted to thank everyone again for all the help. I think there were at least two of you. Silver Serpent and Forgetful Jedi Knight, couldn't have...

How it looks without the saber
Yeah, this is my first and only saber, so far. I had planned on putting the recharge port next to the switch, but then I had this idea so I ordered the appropriate pommel insert and I just keep the...
I made this a while back after finishing my saber. I suppose it could be done with or without the charger.
Parts I used were:
An old lamp base that I took apart, I think I got it from Target. It...
So... while the 7/8" thin walled trans white will fit inside the 1" easily, the 3/4" doesn't really fit very well inside the 7/8". It does fit, but it is very tight. I was able to get it in about 7...
Anyone ever tried this? I've been using a 7/8" trans white poly-c as a blade with some diffuser gift wrap from Michaels with good results but I had this idea a while ago.
I ordered some more 7/8"...
Success. Thanks a lot bud

Like this? And in an earlier post I thought that the other poster said I would not need a resistor for the setup I have. But if I do need one, what should the resistance be?
Thank you
So I don't think the way that I had it set up was right, for the Y-shaped connections I would strip the middle part of one wire, then strip the end of another, curl it a little bit, and wrap it...
I see. Thanks.
I have been charging it with the switch turned off. When it is plugged into the charger and the switch is turned on, the main LED, switch LED, and the light on the charger blink...
Ahh, so a 3400mAh should run a 1000mA LED for roughly...3.4 hours? Makes sense.
The only resistor in it right now is the dynaohm for the led on the switch. If I were to remove that and resolder...
Wow. You were so right. I went home the other day after having read your last post and it seemed so dim. So then I took it apart to compare the brightness with the buckpuck to when I just plugged the...
Wimped out and bought the MWS buckpuck. I'll solder next time. Thanks again for all the help. Still working on a blade though. Bought the thin waled trans white with the white pointed tip, not too...

I give up man. I decided to use the "modular wiring system" for my first project. I don't know what is wrong with this. The switch led lights up when the kill key is removed, the main led...
