Ok, answering my own question. I just used a razor blade and cut back some of the plastic so the plug can fit.
Still, feel free to mention what methods or suggestions you guys have to address this...
Ok, I'm not sure how I went wrong, but after months of slowly building a saber for a friend I was finally ready to plug in and give it a final charge before calling it done.
Buuuuuut, the recharge...
I never knew that. But I would say it's the best way.
I did one a few years ago and used a piece of electrical conduit that was already bent. But it took some cutting and lots or grinding out the...
Hello all,
I'm working on a slightly different project, but using extra parts from saber building.
I've got plans for a Blaster and I want to use a 555 timer for the trigger setup so I can hold...
I was looking to do this once, and someone (on the forums, but don't remember who) had colored their saber tips with a Stained Glass Color spray paint. Something like this.
I haven't tried this yet...
When working on my very first sound saber, I broke off the piece on the PC right next to the power pads (the orange square). Scared the poop out of me. But I contacted PL and was told I could solder...
Cool, thanks for the quick replies.
Now that I've got the connector wiring finished, I can rewire back to series and just plug it into my board to test.
Hey guys,
What is the best method for testing the 2 greens of a Tri-cree when wired in series?
Last night I wired mine up in series, quick and easy (much easier then the Engins), but when I...
I recently bought a tri-cree to replace my 10w engin. Once I get it wired up, I'll try and post a pic comparing the tri-cree(GGW) vs. tri-rebel(GGW) vs. 10w engin(GGRB), running off a PC2.0.
Hello there, and welcome to the wonderful world of saber building.
It seems the overwhelming response is that Cree leds are better, hands down.
I'm thinking of upgrading my sound board sabers to Crees (1 PC, 2 NB). But, just out of curiosity, has anyone done a...
Cool, I just ordered the last parts I'll need for a pair of sabers I've been planning/designing. Maybe I'll enter it (them?)
If I make twin sabers, both being exactly the same, could I enter them as...
Awww, but the questions that remain: Will there be a RGB Cree? Can the single colors do Flash-On-Clash (dual intensity, like break lights)?
Or this: since you've got the Blade LED on C1/NO1. You can connect NO1 also to the LED terminal +, and then have a resister after the LED Terminal- on the way to the battery Negative.

When I first worked with one of these switch I was confused as well.
This is a diagram of how I wired mine up with a PC sound board:...
That is nice. And it's an LED string blade?
Looks like Stephen Colbert has a good explanation on how the new saber could work.

maybe the side blades could be an LED chain, like the M&M sabers.
it was about 170, but that was just the hilt parts, without electronics, internals or powder coating.
since mine will end up being to different sabers it will cost more for the electronics then one...
I have this design that I put together, but have not built yet.

I've got all the parts, but I'm not going to build it this...
Sweatnesssss! That's exactly the info I needed. Thanks Madcow!
Hey peeps,
Could anyone let me know the exact length and diameter of the Speaker Mount V6
I've got a one handed saber design that will have a pointed pommel, a 5" fluted section and a short...
Nice looking build here.
I suggest triple checking your wiring on the recharge port. I had the same problem with mine, and it turned out the wiring was incorrect. I don't recall at the moment what...
I just say these blades on facebook (Shared from Saberforge, I think) a day or two ago. Very nice work. Maybe Tim could sell as these blades, or the martial to make one. Though I would think shipping...
Very nice shroud work. I like the design.
I'm showing up late to this thread, and haven't read all the comments, but wanted to make sure I put in my 2 cents about having some files for finishing the...
Nice! I'm just now coming back to this thread. Thanks for the pics. Seeing the idea actually made just confirms how cool it can look. :)
