That pololu board looks interesting and I might be able to fit it and hide a momentary switch but it is going to be tight...looks like I need to do some switch research and measuring.

Thanks everyone! So I need an on/off for power down and the 18650 is good by itself. Now to find a suitable latching switch for the MR board...
That's exactly what I was thinking but I did not realize that there would be no power-down sound.
