Finishing up a build, but ran into an issue where the aux switch isn't activating at all. It's wired correctly, and the joint is good. Anything in the config that could cause this?

And, if one were to throw a 1000mA Buckpuck into the mix, it would be wired to the LED as usual + to +, - to -, and VIN + to the collector on the transistor, and VIN - to the battery -, correct?

I'm sure this is here somewhere, but searching is being a pain. So, I'm getting ready to begin wiring, and I'm using this wiring diagram. It does not show a 5v voltage regulator, but as far as I...
These are gorgeous sabers. I'm beyond jealous of your 3 Mo baby's padawan saber. Well done. The RGB is a nice touch as well on the first saber.
That looks just about perfect! I'll have to modify it slightly, but otherwise, it's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
Please though, if anyone else has a neat trick, post it. I'm not...
Wow, very impressive. I absolutely love the set-up of this saber. It's also incredible for your first saber. Well, well done!
Stealth spammer…just nabbed one on the forum I work for.
Unless of course you're using a MR board. For that you'd be needing a latching switch.
Shows how much I know!
Super nice find there, I'd never know about it otherwise. I just wonder what it would like in full on lighting.
Thanks J-Lo!
As far as I know, the properties of fiber optics cable won't allow light to penetrate the diameter of the actual cable, only at either end. If it did, it would kind of defeat the purpose of the...
Man, you've got me sold. But hey, it's me.
If I ever manage to get a hold of some buttered toast in my lifetime, I won't have to consider another sound setup (or when Tim has the TCSS sound...
I did say capacitor! Silly me.
Heh, wouldn't that be a charm. Wiring a capacitor...
First order, and first Manly. I'm pretty stoked about it too.
Yeah, I found the proper wiring diagrams for either using a capacitor or puck. I'll use a puck, anyway.
Parts are ordered (complete blade as well, not quite versed in the art yet). Now all I...
Do you use AAs or AAAs? And how much life do you get out of them?
I also have a transistor.
I'm using a Hasbro Economy board. So, yeah, I'll need a Buck Puck.
Thanks though! I really don't want to forget anything. Oh, and that paperclip idea might work too.
I'm cheap. PVC works well as mount. I probably should have included that... Oh, and I am using a soundboard.
Might use a retainer clip, or an O-ring. I'll take a look.
Well, almost.
Parts list for the saber "Pulsar".
LED Blade Holder Style 10
MHS Ribbed Extension V-Grooved
4" Fluted Double Female Threaded Connector
I know that several members have done this before, and with superior results.
Zook's Saber
I understand the basic use of the J-B Weld, but not the use of it to keep the switch button in...
Now I'm starting to doubt my search ability (and my mental stability). Thank you though for pointing me to the topic...and thank you for th I.D.
I never would have found it otherwise.
I am extremely interested about this, because I am wondering about the fit of a x4 AA battery holder in it. I know that it will not fit in the Ribbed V-Groove style extension, so I hope to place it...
Sweet stuff. I've got six stores within an hours drive from my house, one being fifteen minutes away. So I'll have to drop by sometime.
A choke would be nice. Though I must suggest not making the central diameter of the choke less than "1.25 Even that seems a little tight for this saber...
Anyway, it looks wonderful as of yet,...
I'll be needing one of those drill presses fairly soon. Thanks for the links!
Absolutely!
I am extremely happy with the way this forum is run, and the people who run it. It also has superb members willing to lend a hand.
You'll be seeing me around here for a long...
