Thanks for your reply, Silver Serpent - my mistake re the reference to max 15v on the BuckBuck - my only excuse is that my brain is full!
As Silver Serpent suggested, 3 x 3.7v li-ions in series such as the 18650 would be a good choice if they're smaller and/or cheaper than the 11.1v liPo, but I understand the 18650s pump out about 4.2v...
So best idea would be to calculate the resistor for red (as it will be the highest resistance) and use that for testing which die is which.
PS - can anyone explain what the CTL and REF wires are for and how they're used in the 6 wire version of this BuckPuck? Thanks!
I'm still trying to figure all this out myself, so I'll post my understanding of the 2 options discussed above to drive all 3 LEDs at full brightness, and would be grateful if someone would point out...
