Tim can correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the colored polyc was a test run and will not be restocked. Having said that, try using the cellophane rollup instead of the white diffuser and see...
Can I go on record as saying we should be called the Nerf Hurters? 'cuz if they nerf something I want to hurt them.
Yeah, I saw him vent some for the other congoers, it looks pretty neat in person. Also his jetpack is full of blinkies.

If you decide later to go 3/4", maybe Tim will start to stock 3/4" bullet tips like LDM.
DJ: I notice he's using white wire the same gauge as the LED posts to run his ladders. It'd reflect the light and not absorb, and it's so small that the corona around it would render it effectively...
I have to agree with Fender's assessment; It's got a nice angry ignition and pretty universal sound FX. If you're looking for the snap-hiss of the Sith sabers you will be disappointed. But I really...
Case in point for me: I made my personal saber from "scratch," inasmuch as using MHS is. I named my personal saber. The one my son uses I bought off someone in FX-S. It doesn't have a name.
It may well be that you have a funky card if you're getting accidental clash at lvl 1.
Manbeyond: Please relate your Ultrasound board settings here in this format:
LED setting
Blade flicker frequency (number)
Sound level (number)
Motion sensitivity level (number)

Just to add a little data here: The SFX coming from this board are a little peculiar. It has the standard blade ignition sound but uses the sith ignition hiss as the impact sound. The idle hum and...
I dated a girl once who had sugar gliders. They were adorable.
My dog is very mellow and doesn't even notice/care when I get the sabers out or turn them on, but then we have a 3 y/o in the house so...
I would like to rebut your arguments if I may, ARKM:
Regular video games of the non-MMO variety are also known timesinks. People who are prone to getting lost in games will do it no matter if it's...
So my company had a kind of tropical fundraiser party last Friday and I brought my sabers on the off chance that someone would want to cross blades with me. Unfortunately it was bright as hell out...

I like the artwork, reminds me of Sloda's War Machine hilt. :D
I had forgotten that Troy had an Ard turning the wheels. My bad. This would be a continuation of that work, expanding and refining.
I'm not sure what you're asking. AFAIK Troy's 4-channel driver doesn't have any control mechanism, it's got ports for PWM but doesn't do its own. I could be wrong about this though.
If I can get a proof-of-concept I'll pitch it to the engineer gods here and elsewhere and see if someone wants to develop a purpose-built card, or I may try it myself. Right now it's just for me....
Actually, Maul, I AM working on this. It's based on the Arduino Nano and Troy0's 4-channel LED driver. No sound planned unless the OSSC ends up being compatible or you use a separate card with a...
Haha. It was all I could do not to laugh at my wife, who took the shots. She is very amused by this hobby of mine.
That baby in the photos is now my young padawan, with a little red Yoda saber of...
Lord Maul, will you be posting the entries in THIS thread or in a brand new one?
You think Master and Commander, I think Horatio Hornblower. I have visions of an Admiral's Saber worn by Admiral Pellew, later bequeathed to Captain Hornblower as he assumes command of the Hotspur....
Derp, you were right. Edited.
The Rivendell saber: Sun-gold PC with media blasting in soft, curved lines with an overlay grip of lathed white ash ("The White tree of Gondor") in that interlocking arching pattern, with a green...
