is the calc novastar pointed out and it works really well. As long as the forward voltage requirements of both (add them together) leds don't exceed the battery voltage...

Yep, thats the album that inspired me to build the one I am working on.

The design is for show mostly. No sound just a lux III and a lighted latching switch. More of a concept saber.

will the packs need to be insulated? So they don't rattle around?

just a random thought. I am building a PVC saber a c's are a good fit in the 1" sch 40 pipe.

Has anyone tried to build a saber using four "c" batteries?
If yes, is there anything I should know?
I.E. different resistors?
Or if this is in another thread can someone point me to it?...
