This is wicked! I would like to achieve that type of clean look in a build one day. Reminds me of some of ArkLights work when I was researching custom sabers. Very clean!

I'm not sure about trying that out but I can point out that your covertech knob is located over a threaded section. You can move it to the fluted area.

If you got a lathe, there are blank pieces you can purchase from the store so you don't have to thread your own ends. Then you could machine whatever design you'd like. Play around with the MHS...
