The disks are acrylic, as skott mentioned.
It is not a full saber chassis, but just a battery chassis comprised of 3 disks and stand offs.

naming them serves multiple purposes.
for me, each of my sabers is a work of art. a sculpture of a theme. I don't know to many artists that just call it "painting" or "hunk o stone"

Null arcs were bigger due to the Kaminoan's attempts to enhance the Fett Genome. The Null's were considered a failure and such further enancements were not done.

I've played with frosted acrylic disks in some of my sabers. Doesn't really make much difference honestly.That close to the LED, it doesn't diffuse much.

correct me if i'm wrong, but don't most MR boards have an auto shutoff feature that will turn the board off after a minute or so of no input? so clipping the sensors off would leave the on and off...
