Thanks alot. This helps so much
Still a little frustrated that I cant get the short latching anymore:cry:
I can still use a short av momentary switch instead of the tactile right?
Im building a stunt saber for my friends birthday and he wants the general design to be just like my first saber ( http://forums.thecustomsabershop.com/showthread.php?15301-First-Build ).
Sadly,...
I'm a weller type of guy... My own opinon is to get a variable temp one
I'd like to see some of the graflex clamp levers in the store... Anybody wanting to build MHS graflex sabers, like myself, would easily buy some
It got a nice design to it and would seem great when its done. I only have two questions;
1) Are you making it stunt or with sound?
And
2) You think Tim can make that a standard emitter in...
1 ubermanly and 2 arkais under my belt
Earlier today, one of my basic stunt sabers just stopped working normally for some reason. The past few times I used it, it was fine; I took out the kill key, pushed the av switch and the LED turned...
It isn't anything like the stands at Sanjuro Systems (which are freaking awesome by the way) but it gets the job done and is definitely one of a kind!! ;)

A couple of months ago, I built my girlfriend's lightsaber for her and felt like something was missing. After coming in for a few hours here and there at the machine shop where I work, I designed and...
I'm most likely gonna build a pvc chassis for the electronics that would go from gear to gear... Should the 5" section be enough to fit the box and the NB, kinda want to keep it under 15"
Since I have built my first sabers within this year (both are stunt), I figured its time to start building with sound boards. I have a couple lined up but I wanted to start with a basic Consular-type...
she really is, and what i think the best part about her is the fact that we try speaking to each other only in sith, mando'a and as much star wars languages as we can (with whatever words we could...
I do have to say that even though my girlfriend goes to college @ Geneseo and I'm on long island, she still finds ways to make me so excited... for example she always was jelaous of my saber I built...
I like dgregory's idea of making it look like it hovers. How about putting angled mirrors along the bottom this way it reflect the floor to give it the appearance of hovering
first thing I thought of when I saw this was the CIS commander in the Clone Wars show

As of now, i got 1.75 manly ( basically one manly and three arkais ) but since im gonna buy/build a lightsaber for my girlfriend, it should be an ubermanly soon
Silver Serpent is right about the stress of the recharge port, but I did use a bit of epoxy just in case. And as a "durability test" I walked around with it attached to the belt clip for like two...
That's right Yoshi-taka, but i didnt tap the hole, i tapped the covertech knob. And for all you guys asking about the led blowout... It was my fault entirely, the resistor was correct but when i...
Silver Serpent is right, wasn't that hard to enlarge the hole for the av switch. Only difference is that i used a milling machine that i have access at work.... Also with the same concept i ended up...
Took a while but I basically finished my first saber. I had no problems except blowing out the AV switch ring LED but I can always replace it. I've been thinking about adding a Li-ion battery and...
No, what I mean is the current going to the activation switch... I found an old switch that would look great but it can only handle about 50mA.
Anybody know what the forward amps output for the main switch is on the petit crouton?
I'm in the process of designing one of my lightsabers and thought... Can I wire a PLI (http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/PLI-Power-Level-Indicator-P267.aspx) as an accent LED for the Petit Crouton?...
