From experience, the Translucent Brass powder coat is a very light hue, and not nearly as rich as an actual brass part.
Good job!
Congrats on getting it completed!
And just like her brother, here is a pick of her when it was presented.
(Please excuse the messy workstation, and the torn up chair. Just he finest remnants for my little corner for this hobby)

You couldn’t see it, but in the Speaker Holder v4, I cut/filed/sanded a channel to allow for the accent LED (a typical 5mm variety) wires to pass thru (against the inside of the hilt, so...
Glad to hear it is working now!
There are a LOT of things to test when you have an issue, you just hope the things that are supposed to work (the charger) isn’t the problem!
So a little over 3 years after my first MHS saber, my daughter now has her own personal saber as well!
In the years since my first MHS saber for my son, "Sunfire", I've made around 30 Stunt PVC...
A “shelf” saber collects less fingerprints...
I never charge any of my batteries/sabers unattended.
Yes, in theory, with protected batteries and the TCSS smart charger, everything should be fine, but with li-ion I’m not taking any chances.
Good luck to you, though by me, I’ve never seen 1” polycarbonate tube (of either wall thickness) at a big box home improvement store.
Not too many applications for home owner use (well, besides...
Good solution.
When I put a chassis in my son’s saber’s ribbed section, I just drilled and tapped new 4-40 holes in the speaker in line with the smaller chasis discs.
Glad to see this coming along nicely!
Interesting take on the chassis with the chassis disc 4 next to the speaker.
Read up on parallel vs series circuits.
You can wire the two colors up in parallel, with lower voltage from the battery (only need to exceed the forward voltage of the highest led).
I’m not sure...
If you are using a MHS main body + and MHS Extension, how will you even see the rotating chamber?
I’ve bench tested small RadioShack rumble motors, and to slow it down, I added more resistance to...
Over discharging non protected batteries can cause “bad things” and lead to poor capacity issues, or worse, but those Trustfires from the store are protected, which means it should be harder to...
Yes, you got that right, no it doesn’t matter the “sequence”.
I’m curious to what “batteries”you are using currently (and what do you plan on using after wiring in the RC port)?
I saw your...
2 possibilities without knowing more.
1) low battery can cause mis-swings, etc. make sure it’s fully charged.
2) if everything IS NOT secure, then you could be causing a short with your components...
Are you using a Li-iOn battery from TCSS?
In deep sleep, a fully charged batter should last MONTHS, (if wired correctly). I’d check your wiring (or post a schematic to have someone double check)....
I’m guessing a little here, as it looks like you have the 3.3v (18mA max) pad wired to go to the Accent Led, AND to the micro PWM.
With two items on the same circut, and an 18mA max from the pad,...
There are several “resistor color band calculator” sites online, if you don’t have a multimeter.
I’d link the one I use, but it is part of an electronics store.
To be honest, I’m not a fan of multiple retention screws. I tired that on my PVC sabers and I was not happy with it.
When the blade is out, can you freely screw the retention screw fully into the...
Is the screw long enough? Does it come out enough to really cinch the blade?
I’v ordered “too short” before.
The good news, local hardware stores often have hex head 8-32 thread screws of various...
All the work I have from TCSS, the holes are perpendicular to the interior of the part. I believe Tim has advanced enough machines to drill, to make sure a good hole is drilled before the tapping...
Resistors are’t speific to Plecter Lab Builds (some advanced soundcards and add on boards can current regulate, and you wouldn’t need resistors).
As a rule, if your supply voltage to your main...
Are you asking if the hole is drilled perpendicular to the interior of the blade holder (ie, 90 degrees from the blade, along its length),
OR
