I'm thinking you may just want to replicate the graflex shroud with a sinktube, easily done and less hassel, also then you can have a good mhs bladeholder underneath like the 1 or 2. My two pence.

Coolio design I can't wait to see it come to light literally lol. Lol photoshop, ms paint ftw pixel by pixel!
Coolio saber as usual, need more banes out there.
The first stage to recovery is admition of knowing you have a problem.
Anyways, I look forward to pics of awesome costumes.
Very nice, sleek and sharp, I particularly love the groove work on the emitter. A very nice saber.
Very nice as usual, I particularly love emmiter work. Top notch ARKM, very nice.
Basic, yet still nice. Awesome job Maul. The clamp card is an intiresting change.
May not be the best option, but aluminium duct tape, the real duct tape lol. Perhaps look into that as it may work and be cheaper then re chroming. Just my two cents.
No matter how you make the blade it's not really going to be dualable, unless you know how to make a mould and pour the polycarb and make it hollow. Even said that I wouldn't dual with it. Thus thats...
Hmmm, I see I misread the intial post. Anyways that is top notch skill, very awesome. I do look forward to seeing more of them, perhaps you could post progress pics on the next one?
Only to echo what is said above and more, instead of bolting the piece of tubing on for the shim to attach your clamp. One can use JB weld to attach the tube, nice and sturdy and no drilling.
Of course remember that the MHS app price count won't include your led and optics and such. And extra stuffs, all it is is the metal parts.
Okay, I know some people don't have the time to do such things. But one can practise drilling with a hand drill to get perfect holes. I did this with my electric drill on used metal sheeting and...
Time to bring out my all time favourite piece of hobby junk. Wonder flex!!!! I've never made a holocron out of it but it seems viable, then you could use the fosshape or whatever that they also sell...
I've seen some japanese katana sabers, and they used acrilic sheets and a led strip to achieve a katana that lights up. So I'm gussing find that same sheeting, cut your design, and make that led...
I'm assuming since it's just a stunt he may put it in the pommel.
Anyways, I look forward to how this plays out, the shroud work look pretty tough to do but I trust your abilities are suited for...
Can't wait for the finished product, are you planning on any shroudwork?
Basic saber, yet still kick donkey, do you have any chasis in there? If you ever get around to it I'd like to see, as the room in that hilt is slim to none.
Intiresting thought and useful, my only question would be how to protect the wires from shorts? Would you line the MHS with something or heatshrink around the batts and the wire?
What I've found with my empty balde sitting in the opean for a few months it gets loaded with said dust and crud. Al one really needs to do is remove the difuser, get a swiffer or shammie, and swipe...
I love the BH, I can relate to the smashing of fingers (not funny). Overall a ver nice saber, I like it a lot.
I too am in love with this colour also, and the saber itself is very fine. I shall return on which filter it is, my suggestion to anybody is trial and error.
Edits: So from what I can gather, Pale...
OOOOOOOOOOO, pretty awesome saber there LDM. For me this saber looks like what a real saber should be, a tool that is cared for, but not overly worried about. Very nice job as usual.
Reminds me of Ashared Hett's saber, very nice. The PCing is intiresting, kinda like countertop.
Very nice, basic yet sleek. I like it, although I think a deeper blue blade would fit it better.
