540 Lumens? Is that one of the 10 or 20 watt LEDs that I have read about? I read a few posts on this site about them but the major reason they are not in wide use that I gathered from the posts was...
That is pretty neat. I think I have found a good economy sound for my saber : )
Would the sanding cause for a bad finish if I were to sand down a normal chrome sinktube or would it easily be able to be buffed out to a nice shiny polish?
Actually, now that I have been thinking about it more I do think it would not fit together properly.
So i have been thinking of a new/better way of getting the look I want and I think I have the...
well I was hoping the PVC would have enough give to it so that I can (forcefully) insert it into the Sinktube overlay until it slides into place. Once I get the materials I will look over my ideas...
lol, thanks. I am currently gathering as much "free" tools as I can from friends/family since I dont have much myself and in 2 weeks I get paid and then I will buy all the parts for the hilt and the...
That is very true, I think it would be tedious but I think that if I can do it correctly, it would look absolutely beautiful. It just would not be the same if I just stuck them over the top of the...
Yes I have a dremel, but it has been used for plastics so far, not metal. It can handle metal though, goes up to 10,000 rpm's.
I actually was thinking of that choke style as well, I like both...
First, I want to say thank you to everyone that has given me inspiration and advice the last few days. I definately want to thank Jay-gon Jinn for the inspiration I got for this saber from this...
Yea Onli-Wan, thats what I am thinking too. Haveing an UltraEdge and probably a Corbin Battleblade from TCSS...
Thanks again for your input!!!
That is true, I could just get both and compare. Thanks for the 411 :D
Good Morning everyone!
I was wondering how the Store's filter discs compare to the Lee Filters? The blade colors I am really interested in is Purple and Yellow or yellow/orange. Would they be...
EDIT: ah just got a look at his saber, no that is not what I am going for. I will get a basic MS Paint drawing up and post it in a few.
EDIT2: Ok here is a quick diagram, hopefully it conveys what...
speaking of Dremel-fu, has anyone tried adding a recessed lip to the edge of a sinktube? What I am wanting to do is add a bronze sinktube insert into a chrome sinktube that will then slide over an...
Those RGB LEDs sound cool, but at the moment they seem a bit to advanced for me. I have a feeling I would be going with Yellow/orange blade color anyway on my first one. Thanks for the advice...
@Sairon: I see your very sure of the thin-walled blade's durability and I have watched Novastar's BOP series. If he really did use Ultrablades for them then I am sold. Thank you...
@Rhyen...
See now y'all are trying to scare me off before I even start my first one! lol kidding
Hmm...well maybe I will just have to get two different blades. An Ultrablade for show and a regular battleblade for dueling. That way I have both sides covered. Thanks for all the input.
sounds like sound advice Jedi-Loreen, Thanks!!!
Is there any way to get a thick-walled, white polyc tube so that I can make one myself?
Does anyone know if you can buy an Ultrablade from Ultrasabers in a thick-walled version? Or does anyone know where you can buy a Thick-walled, white PolyC blade?
I have read that they are...
See I plan on eventually having two sabers and one would be a deep yellow/orange color and the other a nice purple. So I will use P4 Whites for both
Where would one get a white PolyC blade easily? I plan on running a P4 with lee filters myself and I am glad I found out about the blade before purchasing it:!:
Oh sweet, I think I remember how to make a Mitre box from way back in shop class many years ago...this will be fun ;)
