Awesome aging/weathering. What did you use to weather this guy?
This is one of those sabers that really has its own thing. I love the activation button/box combo and the trim really makes the saber stand out from the standard gray/black pipings we are used to.
It's not ridiculous at all. I tend to prefer smaller hilts, but it will always be a preference. I've seen plenty of folks resort to incredibly long hilt 's just to more easily fit electronics, ...
Super awesome! I love the crystal chamber.
I love how clean it all is! That shroudwork definitely paid off.
I love it. All these great PVC sabers makes me want to take a swing at one again!
looks good! I'll bet that if you brasso that up after the fact it will look quite nice
If you plan on putting an NB in it, I would wait. You would need a resistor for the switch, and either a resistor for the LED or a buck puck for the LED if you chose to ignore the NB.
Also, if you...
I like the shroud. That aside, I think you hit your concept head on with wild space. It looks like it could be nice to duel with as well!
I love sabers that utilize white in their main palette. The emitter is also one of the most unique I've ever been fond of!
I dig the velcro strip idea! Thank you all for your suggestions. :D>
Nobody in my circle knows this, but I'm planning on making lightsabers for each member of my little group. I would love to give them all sound and recharge ports, but since Easy Tech isn't the most...
I'd have to agree with the epoxy method here. as long as you treat the surfaces right and let it cure, it should adhere amazingly without you having to drill into any switches!
I loved the weathering job. It almost made me think of a saber that was cared for, but definitely saw combat. To be honest, I fell in love with that crystal chamber at first glance. I'm not sure what...
One of my all-time favorites. The layering and etching were masterfully done, and I think the wood shrouding really set this saber apart!
I created the pattern using paint dot net and my buddy cut out the design from a vinyl print he made me. He owns a vinyl cutting machine and he usually makes people window stickers. I washed the...
It feels fine, the emitter is still a decent diameter larger than the main body so twirls and whatnot aren't too uncomfortable or strange to do. I'm not entirely sure if that answers your question....
Thank you all for the kind criticisms!
IMO your weathering is probably one of the best examples I've honestly seen.
Rootkill is a chemical that is usually used to clean septic pipes and whatnot of shrubs and roots. When combined with water and salt, it turns into an acid bath for etching!
I used Rogue9607's...
Hello, all!
This is the saber I built for the 2015 TCSS contest, and was also my very first sound saber! This saber had a few firsts for me.
1) As I previously stated, I had never made a sound...
I really dig the pommel design and the engraving! This is definitely one of those sabers that will stick to memory due to simply how unique it is
I love the subtle color accents and the reveal crystal chamber. That is a swell saber, man!
I love it! The textures really make this saber great
I love it! I always enjoy organic cues being put into a saber. This build is very unique and you should be proud!
