Glad to help! :D
*Disclaimer. I just woke up after visiting Galaxy's Edge. I had the 8pm-12am reservation. After visiting, it inspired me to come back to the community after a hiatus.* The legacy sabers are push and...
Thanks, girot!
Quick question. I have an LED that's too big to fit in the 7/8" heatsink. How would you go about trimming the excess? I would guess by filing down with a dremel, right?
I put too much on my last build and it was a wreck! Had to clean off the heatsink and start over. But it def. works and does a wonderful job!
This resistor is for your illuminated switch http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/20mA-DynaOhm-Variable-Resistor-P847.aspx
not so sure about the buck puck though.
Lucky you!!!
3d printed chassis??
Excellent work! Crafty brain indeed!
Quick question on the Brass sponge. I know they specifically sell them for the iron, but I came across one at the 99c store and read it Brass Coated sponge. Will that work just as well or not?
Great idea/use of the accent LED!
I'm digging the brass!
That shatter effect! Swell work there!
I am sure that FJK knows what he's talking about. But to double check you can always log into your account, and under ACCOUNT SETTINGS, click SEE ALL for purchases for your PCB approximate purchase...
d) I am not familiar with the FX speaker diameter but I do use a Kanan Jarrus lightsaber speaker from the "newer" lightsaber toys and works just as good, but could be better using a TCSS speaker. The...
Good stuff! Did you outfit that PLI board to the NB V2?
The Vape I had was one of those big box looking ones that regulated the Voltage for a better "hit". They were labeled as 18650 batteries. I would have to speculate with you that they weren't...
I got this in the mail yesterday http://www.amazon.com/Lead-Free-Soldering-Station-Welding-Digital/dp/B00QJR0HM4/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1442589141&sr=8-4&keywords=936+soldering+station It's...
I've seen those batteries before. The pair I had were 18650 Li-ion cells from a vaporizer, but I am not sure they were PCB protected. At any rate, a hobby shop might be the way to go, and maybe mod...
It might be overwhelming at first, but I found Madcow's tutorial's to be very helpful (along with the community threads). Soldering seems intimidating but practice makes perfect ;)...
Thanks for this! Just downloaded them and going to start designing! :D
Nice job on that paint!!! Really digging it.
Awesome job! I will one day borrow your diagram for my second saber for prizm!
also remember, once it is soldered in place, make sure none of the solder on the back side is touching. I had that happen to me and it was frustrating to figure out my noob mistake.
What I think Jay-gon Jinn was saying is take the can/LED holder off of the LED, and make sure each individual LED is aligned correctly onto each of it's individual optical ports. Sometimes...
