Quick question: Should I be getting a continuity tone on my multimeter when I touch the USB port and the negative wire on the CFS X MK3?

I finally had time to rewire the board. The speaker is now working well, and when I press the on/off switch the sound turns on and off. But, once I take out the kill plug the LED goes on and doesn't...

The SD card that was in the soundboard was shot, so I replaced it and now the switch works and the sound/led kind of work. The LED is still flickering and speaker sounds fuzzy. I'm gonna try to go to...

I got the battery to charge. There is no more noise coming from the speaker, but now the LED just keeps flickering and the switch doesn't turn it on or off.

I tested the power jack, and there is no power coming from the battery even when the charger is plugged in. Currently I ghetto rigged it and it is charging so hopefully it doesn't explode.
Also...

I have it apart already. So I should unsolder all the connections and then re-connect with new wire? Is there a way to check to see if the battery is still good?

So I built my saber a few months ago, with little sparring, and just recently it won't stay on for more than 30 secs(haven't used it in a month or so before this). Could thus be the battery? I hope...

But I want purple, so I am going to resist it.

I decided to go with white and gold. I also wired the Blue and Red dies together, I now need a resistor of some sort and I will be finished, well and I need to think of a name then I'll be finished....

So I'm restarting the build.

I order some new stuff to fix it and I am in the process of painting.
I'm going to do a purple blade and going to do either a gold and white theme or gold and black...

Yeah I am using a PC. I probably won't run them in series, unless that gives me a purple I like.

I have an SD card in my mp3 player, ill try that see what happens.

i taped side of the board that touches the hilt, so it shouldn't have short there.

I took the SD card out and nothing happened

I may have broken/fried my PC. I was pushing the battery pack and board in my hilt, then the SD card pops out and everything turned off. I quickly took everything out check the connections and such....
