Yup it worked. Thanks!
Thank you so much! I'll go find some wire and do that.
Hi there, I know the MWS components are supposed to be dummy-proof but I'm having problems with the green ring led not turning on in the AV latching switch.
I am using these parts that are here...
I am getting a ribbed extension powdercoated black and was wondering if there are any helpful videos for sanding/removing the pc on some layers of a mhs aluminum piece?
I was going by this
http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/MWS-Long-Latching-16mm-AV-Switch-Nickel-P901.aspx
which has 2 red wires and 2 black wires.
I said in the edit that I left off the 2.7 ohm...
Ok Just for next time I make a saber. is this correct?
13005
EDIT: forgot the resistor
That sounds awesome. Thanks
The positive switch wire with the DynaOhm resistor on it?
I guess it doesn't help me that they are pre-wired and I have no idea what color cables are hooked to, on the av switch NC1, NO1, C1...
So all pre-wired jst connectors don't help me at all and everything needs to be soldered?
So like this?12994
Am I getting close?
Ok I am trying to do the least soldering as possible. Will the wiring work with these parts for a no-sound stunt saber?:
http://www.thecustomsabershop.com/4AAA-battery-holder-with-mount--P1010.aspx...
Do I need to take into account the led in the AV switch module if it's pre-wired with DynaOhm resistor?
oh yeah, you're right! I was thinking it was R squared, but it's not its I squared. Thank you, My bad. The only resistor the shop has is 2.7ohm 10w, unless I get it from somewhere else.
I will be getting the green cree led MWS module
EDIT:
Ok, with the Ohm's law and a calculator I'm getting this:
6v(4xAAA) -3.58 Vf Green Cree LED at 1000mA = 2.42 ohm resistance
and
2.42 ^2 = 6w...
I'm planning on doing a single color cree xp-e2 led MWS module and a latching led av switch. Also there will be no sound. Can someone tell me what type of battery back I will need?
Hopefully I can...
